Great experience. Guide was exceptional. Worth the cost. Bring sea sick pills. Small boat will get you feeling sea sick after a while.
The whale watching was absolutely delightful. We learned a great deal from the marine biologist on board and the captain was fantastic. They were great at helping to spot whales and directing us where to look.

The guides were fantastic and gave a lot of great information. We saw quite a few whales. But be prepared for ferry, uneasy waters and take necessary medicine if you get seasick at all.

You are right to mention the sea conditions; as we use 31ft boats designed for adventure, the water can feel more active, especially during our afternoon tours. This whale watching experience was absolutely incredible for our entire family. My wife and two kids are still talking about it. As we walked toward the marina, we found ourselves guessing which boat would be ours. To be honest, we were a little concerned at first. Many of the boats looked smaller, and we were worried the ride out to the open ocean might be rough, especially with kids. The moment we saw our boat, though, all of that changed. It was spacious, comfortable, and handled the waves effortlessly. We felt safe and relaxed the entire time. Our guide, Adrienne, was outstanding. Her knowledge and passion for marine life really elevated the experience. She shared insights throughout the trip that kept all of us engaged, including the kids. Captain Freddie was equally impressive, navigating smoothly and clearly knowing exactly where to go. And then came the whales. We saw around five humpback whales, which alone would have been amazing, but what made it truly unforgettable was witnessing a full family group. We saw an escort whale alongside a mother and her baby traveling together. It was one of those rare, magical moments you can’t plan for and will never forget. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip. If you are considering a whale watching tour, do not hesitate to book this one. Highly recommend.

From the beginning when our tour was booked through the very end, our trip couldn’t have been better. The boat itself was clean and clearly well-maintained. The staff mirrored the same caliber. Captain Adrian, was visibly comfortable and knowledgeable on open water. Our biologist, Vanu, was infectiously passionate about the marine environment and casually wove in her own stories about the whales (and other species) we saw that day. Educating us in an accessible and informed manner. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and will build other Cabotrek adventures into our next trip!!
