Zara Tours leder vandringar uppför Marangu-rutten, som är den enklaste och kortaste vägen till Kilimanjaros toppmöte och är känd som "Coca Cola" eller "turist" -vägen. Detta är den enda vägen på Kilimanjaro med bekvämligheterna med solenergi-sovande kojor och bekväma sängar i varje läger. Kojorna är gemensamma, och varje våningssäng har en svampmadrass och kudde. Badrum och rinnande vatten finns i de två nedre kojorna. Grundläggande latrines för män och damer finns tillgängliga vid det sista lägret. Alla klättringsgrupper, ofta från flera länder runt om i världen, delar måltider i matstugor som ger en jovial och energisk atmosfär. Läsk, vatten på flaska och öl kan finnas till salu i kojorna. Ta med små tanzaniska räkningar för att köpa dessa artiklar (priserna ökar med höjden). Denna rutt görs vanligtvis på 5 dagar, men du kan göra det på 6 dagar för bättre acklimatisering. Du kan tillbringa din extra dag med att vila på Horombo eller klättra till en bascamp under Kibos subtopp Mawenzi.

Fantastikisl experience. The climb was tougher than expected but still fully feasible. The Zara Tours team was exceptional and absolutely crucial for us to reach the top.
From the moment i arrived till the moment i left i felt at home, great welcoming , professional staff, they managed to make hiking a 5 stars experience, the instructor was very friendly and kept pushing us till last minute we couldn’t finish without him
My dad and I had an unforgettable time climbing the Marangu Route with Yohana and his team! The Marangu is a tough climb, but they provided relentless support and took excellent care of us. Even when the altitude got the better of us and we had to turn back for health reasons, Yohana ensured our descent was safe, steady, and comfortable. Highly recommend booking your Kilimanjaro climb with Yohana—you won’t regret it!
My experience with Zara Tours is beyond words. In 1999, a medical mistake led to the amputation of my leg and severe nerve damage. After 17 years in a wheelchair, I finally received a prosthetic in 2016. Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and in 2018, I was finally strong enough to try. Finding the right organization felt impossible, until I met Mama Zara (Zainab Ansell). She didn’t see “disability”, she saw strength. She believes disability is not inability, according to her we are not handicapped but handi”capables” and because of her, I found my confidence, my purpose, and my dignity again. She changed my life, and the lives of so many others. Since then, I’ve climbed Kilimanjaro six times with Zara, with incredible people facing their own challenges, amputees, blind individuals, people with MS, deaf, people with brain injuries, cancer survivors, and more.. It was a great adventure with a very cool team. All was perfect regarding food, luggage and the time up there. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and am really looking forward to come back another time.
