Klättra Mount Toubkal - vandring - 3 dagar

We had expected a nice trip with primitive accommodation and simple food. We had a very nice trip, better accommodation, and plenty of fine, well-allowed food. The guide, Mohamed Tsiou, was competent, talked about the Berber way of life and his own experiences, which gave the experience an extra dimension. There were many tourists on Toubkal, but for the rest of the trip, we felt almost alone and always welcomed by both the involved tour operators and the local population. A very beautiful and well-arranged experience.

When a massive logistical hurdle left us arriving in Morocco without any of our luggage or technical walking gear, Mohamed and the team didn't miss a beat. They quickly re-engineered our original three-day itinerary into a two-day trek with an afternoon acclimatisation hike, to keep our charity climb for The Hygiene Bank on track. Throughout the grueling climb, Mohamed's incredible local knowledge was invaluable. He knew the relentless, steep terrain inside out, navigating the scree and boulders flawlessly while managing our pace beautifully so we never felt rushed. His dedication to his clients is unmatched—he even lent me a pair of his own trousers the night before we set off when we discovered a hole in our rental gear! While Mohamed led the way on the mountain, the entire support structure was flawless. Karima, our ground contact, managed our initial luggage crisis flawlessly, working well past midnight to help us source essential items right after we landed. On the trail, our cook, Hicham, kept our energy levels high with fantastic, nutritious meals that sustained us all the way to the summit. A massive thank you to Mohamed, Karima, Hicham, the local Berber communities, and Adventurous Ewe. They turned a potential travel disaster into a successful milestone. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

I was a little bit nervous having been the only person booked onto the trip for the dates I'd selected, but I needn't have been. Right from the pick up, my guide, Mohamed Tsiou put me at ease. He made sure that he understood my condition and ability and altered the pace accordingly. He also we extremely helpful in making sure I understood exactly where we were up to in terms of the trek at every stage. As the trip developed Mohamed was full of insightful facts and points about the landscape and was happy to share his knowledge (which is extensive) ! As we built a friendship, Mohamed took me along routes that he knew I could cope with but that were not on the ordinary path, this was really cool! Throughout the entire trek and summit Mohamed cleary was looking out for my best interests and experience, from what i saw of other treks this might not be the case with other guide who seemed more intent on just getting up and down the mountain. Mohamed really took the time to make sure that my experience was second to none, because of this I have the best time and a seriously considering going back in the winter to experience Toubkal in the snow! Mohamed Tsiou made the experience unforgettable. He is exactly what you want as a guide when trying to climb Mount Toubkal. He values your freedom to explore alone, yet you never actually feel left alone or unsafe. He answered all of our questions and together with our 2 cooks made this experience amazing! We had Mohamed Tsiou as a guide and he was incredible! He gave us a lot of information about the culture and country. He answered all our questions and was very friendly and nice. He watched over our steps and we felt safe all the time. Our two cooks cooked amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner with fresh vegetables and diverse dishes. It was an amazing experience with very nice people. I would recommend everyone to have Mohamed as a guide!

I couldn’t recommend Mohamed Tsiou highly enough as a guide for climbing Toubkal. From the beginning, Mohamed Tsiou was extremely knowledgeable and experienced, with excellent communication throughout the entire trek. His knowledge of the area was exceptional, and he had a very good understanding of what was safe and what wasn’t, which gave me a lot of confidence on the mountain. What really stood out to me was how quickly Mohamed Tsiou understood my level of climbing and adapted his approach accordingly. He knew when to push on, when to take a break, and when to take a more cautious approach. We worked extremely well together as a team, and I always felt that I was in safe and capable hands. Mohamed Tsiou was professional, friendly and genuinely passionate about what he does. His experience and knowledge made the whole experience much more enjoyable, and reaching the summit of Toubkal was something I’ll remember for a long time.
