Du kommer att följa riksväg 4 hela vägen tills du når korsningen Kirirom varifrån vägen blir något ojämn. Ta en sväng först mot Chambok-samhället och utforska ett av Kambodjas första samhällsbaserade turismprojekt. Njut av en 30 minuters vandring genom skogen till Chambok vattenfall och sedan passerar du genom porten till Kirirom och kör hela vägen upp till toppen för att beundra utsikten över den omgivande skogen och bergskedjorna. Ta en promenad längs några av de många stigarna mot sjön (20 min). Tallskogen är av särskilt intresse och erbjuder en avkopplande promenad och det finns många bäckar och forsar i parken att besöka också. Återvänd till Phnom Penh efter en uppfriskande dag i nationalparken.

Och sedan kommer du att passera genom porten till Kirirom och köra hela vägen upp till toppen för att beundra utsikten över den omgivande skogen och bergskedjorna på 675 meter över havet. Ta en promenad längs några av de många stigarna mot sjön (20 min). Tallskogen är av särskilt intresse och erbjuder en avkopplande promenad och det finns många bäckar och forsar i parken att besöka också. Återvänd till Phnom Penh mitt på eftermiddagen efter en uppfriskande dag i nationalparken.
Kirirom National Park etablerades ursprungligen som en semesterort och turiststad 1945. Området kallades Kirirom "Joyful Mountain" av kungen på förslag av en munk från Phnom Penh. Berget, som är 700 meter högt, täcker en yta på 35 000 hektar. Det är bekvämt beläget i Phnom Sruoch-distriktet, Kampong Speu-provinsen, och 120 km sydväst om Phnom Penh. Det kan nås via riksväg Nº4. Chambox Village ligger intill Kirirom National Park, Chambok har många attraktioner och aktiviteter att erbjuda både lokala och internationella turister som är starkt naturintresserade. Det är välkänt för sina tre bäckar, inklusive den största med vackra vattenfall. Turister kan ta guidade turer till en av dessa bäckar och njuta av utsikten medan de vandrar genom skogen.

My tour guide, Siphat, was so kind, knowledgeable and funny! I felt so comfortable with him and he was flexible with me wanting to stay a bit longer at the waterfall and I just felt we had a great time. We had a laugh and they covered all the admission fees. The tour felt organised and structured - thank you Siphat xx Our driver, Try, always had water to hand and we even took pictures together!! Great driver, felt really safe and so personable. Thank you for an unforgettable trip! The waterfall might be smaller than why you may expect but she is MIGHTY beautiful x
Insights into life in Cambodia. People are interesting. It was a long drive and we enjoyed seeing the countryside. It was cooler on the mountain. We saw monkeys crossing the road and a gecko but the waterfall was underwhelming.

Kirirom National park is a paradise. It is full of pine trees, nice jungle, lakes, streams and waterfalls. I book my tour with green era travel at very last minute in Phnom Penh. My driver was very good and tour guide Si Phat are very nice, had excellent knowledge and made sure to visit places I want to see. I highly recommend this tour to all travellers.

A nice break from the city. Our driver and guide were very knowledgeable and shared a lot of great information about the area and connected us with some of the local folks to share some of the traditional uses of the plants in the area. We had several stops in the mountain with short trips to some park highlights. Unfortunately, due to the number of people, there was no wildlife to be seen and there wasn't much for hiking. The vistas were great. Would recommend it as a trip to see something a little different and get out of the city.

Good experience and something different. It is not cheap and is potentially over priced but we had a good guide and the whole National park to ourselves. We happened to go to this during Cambodia Independence Day so we did end up in a lot of traffic because of this. I would recommend that trip advisor considers offering transfers between PP and Kiriom as it is also possible to stay there which would have been a magical experience.
