Ivuka Arts Center är ett konstcenter och konstgalleri beläget i Kigali, Rwandas huvudstad.
Platsen i Rwandas huvudstad Kigali där tio belgiska FN-fredsbevarare mördades av hutuextremister för att provocera fram ett tillbakadragande av FN-styrkorna, vilket sedan banade väg för hela omfattningen av folkmordet i Rwanda.
Nyamirambo Women’s Centre (NWC), en rwandisk NGO, lanserades i slutet av 2007 av 18 rwandiska kvinnor som bor i Nyamirambo, Kigali. Tillsammans skapade de ett projekt som syftade till att ta itu med könsbaserat våld, ojämlikhet mellan könen och diskriminering. Idag är NWC:s uppdrag att tillhandahålla utbildning och yrkesutbildning till kvinnor som inte har möjlighet att betala för sådan utbildning på egen hand, så att de kan få bättre möjligheter till anställning.

Kigali City Market är ett bra ställe att gå igenom. Hej o i viss mån de övre våningarna är ungefär som en galleria med bottenvåningen med leverantörer av olika typer inklusive mat och hushållsartiklar. Handlare är engagerande och krånglar inte till besökarna, det är lätt att ta bilder och hit finns ett brett utbud att se. Några ställen att äta och dricka också. Det här är inte en turistplats så inga riktiga kuriosa och så vidare, men frukt, te, kaffe, honung och så vidare till salu om det är vad du letar efter. Priserna var mycket rimliga och inte mycket utrymme för förhandling men också mindre köptryck. En fantastisk plats att utforska - inget verkligt behov av en guide eller en "lokal" för att följa med dig eftersom det är säkert, väl lätt och har stor säkerhet.

Our guide, Gloria was very knowledgeable. She did a great job telling us all about the city, we visited a woman’s center and got to stop and meet some of the women working. She had a wonderful sense of humor and kept us laughing all the way. Kigsli is a fascinating city.
