Moses was an excellent guide for our family of four—my wife, our six-year-old daughter, my dad, and me. As a local, he clearly knew the waters and exactly where to take us. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip enjoyable for everyone, including our daughter. The results spoke for themselves: in just three hours, we caught 11 salmon! It was a great experience across three generations of our family and one of the highlights of our Alaska cruise. We would absolutely recommend Moses to anyone looking for a fun and successful salmon fishing trip in Ketchikan.

It's a family company with excellent skills, and very professional business practices. You only find super clean and well maintained boats and equipment. The fish love this !! Moses was great! We came in on a cruise ship, coordinating is always a little worrisome, however they reached out multiple times, confirmed pick up and drop off instructions. We got close to 60lbs of fish in about 4 hours. They definitely know what they are doing and where to take you! Boat was clean, they provided waters and sodas. Trip was great!

This was a wonderful fishing experience. Justin, our captain, was so enthusiastic about making sure we had a good experience. He put us right on the fish within minutes. We shipped our fish home so we could enjoy them in Florida. He is also great with kids! We have a 10 year old and he was so helpful in getting her to catch some fish. Overall, 10/10 experience. Recommend highly without reservation.

Captain Justin was extremely knowledgeable, incredibly caring, and we caught amazing fish on days when others really struggled. We always felt safe on his boat and both 8 hour days absolutely flew by! Owner Will and his son Reggie are some of the nicest guys in Ketchikan and we were treated like family. They did a fantastic job of processing our fish and boxing it up for us, making it super easy to transport home. No team wants you to catch fish and have the best experience more than Alaska King Charters. Thanks for the memories guys and can’t wait to come back!!!

First off Moses was an awesome captain and guide and on our first excursion, try as we may the fish weren’t biting, but every other boat and fisherman we spoke to had no luck that day either. Regardless, I booked for a second day (just myself) because we were so impressed with Moses. An hour out, his boss called and told him that another charter boat had broken down. He was told he needed to pick up a different group from a cruise ship, and that they could reschedule me some other time that weekend, even though this was Sunday morning, and we were leaving on Monday. In other words a group whose charter started after mine, was more important than I was. More important than my return business. The business with the cruise passengers was more important. So thanks for ruining my trip. I really hope Moses starts his own business so that we can frequent it instead.

The boat was on time and easy to get to. They docked next to the cruise ship. The boat is well equipped, and the captain was knowledgeable. We discussed our options and made a decision on where and what to fish for. We went earlier in the season but still caught six king salmon. The scenery is superb, and this is a great way to experience salmon fishing in Alaska. I recommend this as a doable cruise excursion that gives you an authentic experience while leaving time to experience Ketchikan. The fishing is also accessibile for kids and not too intense or difficult.
