Great communication with clear instructions ahead of trip. Easy communication the day of trip getting to the shuttle. Super captain/fish guide who had the perfect balance of knowledge and experience plus asking for our feedback to provide a customized fishing excursion for us. It was a truly perfect 1/2 day of fishing!

Had the best time on our fishing trip with Captain Dan. He was great with the girls who had never gone fishing before. Will definitely take another trip when we go back to Ketchikan.

We had such an amazing experience on our charter with Danny. The women in our party were very concerned about getting sea sick and ruining the experience for the rest of us but Danny assured us that they would be just fine. He WORKED so hard to make the experience wonderful for us. Things started off a little slow and you could tell that he was concerned that things weren't happening, but he kept working the rods and rebaiting the hooks. And then they started to hit. We had 4 in our party and from the first strike until we landed the 4th Halibut was 52 minutes. In that time we also caught 2 cod and lost a couple. It was crazy. There were times we had 3 rods working at the same time. It was not hard to understand how we had some lines get tangled but he took care of that within just minutes and landed the fish and had the lines back in the water again. Once we limited out on Halibut, he moved us to shallower water to started working for salmon. We caught and kept 2 salmon, but we also threw back several that were too small to keep. The experience at the dock was also fantastic. We are not a crew that spends much time on fishing boats but they were so courteous and polite helping us on and off of the boat. They handled all of the fish for us when we got back. They gave us great opportunities to take pictures and then processed all of the fish and sent it home for us to arrive after we got back. They had a great shuttle service that picked us up and returned us to our ship. They even stopped at the grocery/liquor store for us to pick up some beverages and ice on our way to the fishing boat. If you were to imagine the perfect Alaskan Fishing trip, this is what you would have imagined. It was absolutely wonderful. I remember telling one of our friends who really didn't want to go "Careful, it looks like you are having fun" as she was reeling in a Halibut. What an amazing trip with an amazing group of people. Wonderful experience. We booked late and they didn't have any boats available but they called around to friends and were able to find 2 fill in boats with captains for the day. We caught a lot of fish and had a great time! Thank you

4 of us wanted to go halibut fishing in Alaska. None of us really intense anglers but have fished before. 3 younger folks with me..me not so young with limited mobility. I used travel chat gpt and it gave me this company as a recommendation. All the content on the internet and reviews gave me comfort that we were going to have something but a person never really knows. Our shuttle guy Mel contacted me in advance of our arrival. Gave me perfect directions and was timely. More on Mel later. We met Danny, our boat captain, at the dock who whisked us away to our fishing location. He made sure we caught fish! The time flew by. He worked so hard. When we returned we told Mel about wanting to see more of Ketchikan but couldn’t figure out how to make it happen. He made it happen! He gave us so many details about the town along with getting us to specific places in town where I found my favorite artists designs. I couldn’t thank him enough! We found the company and employees to be really hardworking folks knowing what they are doing and providing a high quality service. Our memories and experiences were awesome. Thank you so much!

What a great experience! Skylar put us on Halibut right away! Left time for Kings! Unfortunately they were slow today but Skylar did everything he could to put us on fish. Definitely had a great time and would return!

My family had an awesome experience with Oasis. Joana kept us up to date on the details. Danny did a great job as captain and fishing guide! One of the highlights of our trip.

From start to finish, this was a wonderful, fun and memorable experience. We were collected from where the cruise ship docked, and driven the roughly half hour to the fishing pier. Here we met our captain for the trip (Danny) He showed us all the equipment, baited and set the rods and helped us every step of the way. We had a great time fighting with the Halibut, and some sharks! We even saw a pod of Orcas in the nearby waters. 4 hours on the water, left us with 4 Halibut (our limit of one each) we threw back a 5th and 5 sharks, which we also released. Beautiful weather was on our side, and the majestic scenery was amazing. I thoroughly recommend this tour, it was awesome, and thank you to everyone who made it so special. We left our catch to be filleted, frozen and shipped via FedEx, which cost around $220. When you consider that this yielded about 12.5 lbs. of Halibut fillet, that's a great deal in any language, shipped to my door on ice in Styrofoam in Minnesota. when we returned home several days later. We ended the trip by being driven back to town to do some shopping. 5 stars all the way guys!

This trip was fantastic!! We booked in advance with clear communication with the owners. We knew what to bring and what to expect. They picked us up on time with the prearranged shuttle and were very conscious about getting us back to the cruise ship in time. We didn't catch the sought after halibut by no fault of theirs but caught lots of fish regardless. That didn't matter, the captain was great, we had a great time! We all highly recommend Oasis Alaska Charters!

Oasis Charter was amazing. First, communication was fantastic!!! The shuttle was there waiting for us as we debarked the ship. Everyone worked with us to make this Charter fantastic given our tight time-line. Hunter was a great guide. He took us to spots that had the most success rates. Within 20 minutes we had our limits of halibut. We then trolled for salmon. Before Hunter could finish explaining what to expect we had a coho on the line. Within an hour, we caught 6 coho salmon but, two got away (not Hunters fault, lol). Oasis took care of the fish processing and shipping to our home. They got us back in time to quickly visit a shop to get a t-shirt! I highly recommend Oasis Charter especially if you are taking an Alaska cruise. So, we did a shore salmon fishing excursion the day before and caught absolutely nothing. In addition, it was expensive. Don't waste your time or money on this, book with Oasis Charter instead.
