I did this workshop solo with no knowledge of pottery and I managed to leave with two nice creations! And above all, I had a wonderful time with Francisco and his father! Funny, friendly, and welcoming, I don't think it's possible to have a better pottery experience :) I truly recommend this workshop and even the tour guide, about whom I heard only good things during my class ☺️☺️

It was the first time we did an olaria workshop, we were lucky to be something more exclusive because we were only 2 people and we loved the experience 5⭐ Mr. José Simões is very friendly, patient, helpful and lively. The space is very nice! We will definitely repeat the experience, thank you very much

We had an absolutely fantastic experience of pottery in Silves! A fun, creative and very special moment, ideal for all ages. José was amazing — super friendly, welcoming and patient to guide us in this magical world of clay. In the end, we were still surprised with a delicious snack and a wonderful homemade cake! I highly recommend to everyone who visits the area! A different and memorable activity. Thank you, Jose and Francisco! 👏👏

Our family decided to try pottery with a local master. It was the best experience we had in Faro. Well organised. A lot of fun with an amazing teacher. The entire experience was something we won‘t forget. Our pieces were made with love and we look forward to displaying them.

A fabulous afternoon at José and Francisco! We thought we would come for a pottery workshop, we now know we come for much more: a magnificent decor in a lush garden embellished with the artist's works, a moment of relaxation where you can give free rein to your creativity to the sound of music, a moment of sharing and laughter despite 3 different languages spoken during the workshop, and especially for the immense generosity of this Algarvian artist. Let yourself be carried away, here everything goes quietly, "con calma", and it is perfect! Do not be surprised, José will not dwell on theory, a demonstration and you will be on track, the goal being that each person leaves with a work that he will like: whether you are completely beginner or experienced, he will adapt to help you create the piece of your choice! For the spoken language: obviously everything is easier if you master Portuguese or English, but do not let the language barrier stop you: for pottery, gestures speak for a lot, a smile and good humor will do the rest!

Wow! More than I expected in a three hour workshop! The father and son team were very knowledgeable about the process of working with clay on a wheel and explaining it to us in English. We had a variety of choices for our projects and were able to create with guidance a few high quality projects on the wheel. We also used hand building techniques on some of our projects. In addition, we were also offered lemon tea made from a lemon tree from their yard and a tasty snack tray of local bread, cheese and fruit. All of it took place outdoors in their beautiful garden. All in all it was a lovely learning experience in a beautiful setting. Our session went longer than three hours because the projects we chose took longer than expected.

Fun & relaxing pottery class with a father and son. The father, who is the potter, was a very good instructor. The property is beautiful and we were presented with. very nice spread of food.
