Vi börjar dagen med att lära oss allt vi behöver veta om olivolja. Större delen av ön Kefalonia är täckt av olivträd. Det är den viktigaste produkten här både för vår ekonomi och vårt kök. På Marina s Oil Mill får vi lära oss hur olivolja tillverkas i den moderna metoden. Vi kommer också att lära oss de olika produktionsmetoderna och kvalitetsnivåerna. Har du någonsin undrat vad Extra Virgin Olive Oil betyder? Du får reda på det! I deras provningsområde får vi en chans att prova olika oljor och andra Kefalonian-produkter.
För vinälskare är att besöka Sarris Winery i Kefalonia en måste-göra-upplevelse. Vingården är känd för sina prisbelönta viner, vackra utsikt och varma gästfrihet. Vinprovning på Sarris Winery handlar inte bara om att smutta på olika viner; det är en resa genom Kefalonias smaker. Vinprovningsupplevelsen på Sarris Winery börjar med en rundtur i vingården. Du kommer att lära dig om vingårdens historia, vinframställningsprocessen och de olika druvsorterna som odlas på gården. Den kunniga och vänliga personalen guidar dig genom turnén och svarar på alla frågor du kan ha. Efter rundturen är det dags för vinprovning. Provningen sker på en vacker terrass med fantastisk utsikt över Joniska havet. Du kommer att sitta vid ett stort träbord, där personalen kommer att servera dig ett urval av viner, tillsammans med lokala ostar och traditionella grekiska snacks.

Highly recommend this tour! Dimitris was a fantastic guide and took us to some wonderful spots around the island for wine, honey and olive oil tastings. The bee farm was really interesting, and the winery is set in such a beautiful location. We were also treated to some delicious food at the olive oil mill, which was a lovely part of the experience. One of our favourite days in Kefalonia — a great way to experience some of the island’s local produce and hidden gems!
The Olive oil, honey,and wine tour we did was incredible! Dimitris was a wonderful guide. He was super knowledgeable about the islands history, answered every question, made us laugh the whole time, was attentive, took some amazing photos for us and just made us feel like we were being taken on a true adventure. Taking time to stop and soak up the views, and even gave us great recommendations for the rest of our trip! The bee farm was incredible! And the smell was so good! We even got to feed some goats and fill up a honey jar! The store was even better, the olive oil was delicious having time to sit and enjoy the experience and really taste the olive oil with all of my senses and we viewed the process of how they're made, as well as how to identify good olive oil! So healthy for you, i was even excited the store had sea salt local of course! And local oregano! The wine tasting was the icing on top of the cake! We viewed the fermentation process, toured the vineyard, and sat and soaked in the gorgeous views as we tried there award winning wines! An absolutely perfect day! Thank you Dimitri! Our guided tour with Dimitris was wonderful from the start. We learned so much about Kefalonia, the culture, history and people from him as he took us from one location to another. We enjoyed meeting all his selected local purveyors with insight to their circumstances beforehand. They were all passionate about and devoted to their work and we learned so much about honey, olive oil and wine that have been produced in Greece for 1000’s of years. It was a joy to meet them all and a different way to spend a morning. Highly recommend this private tour.
Great host.. private tour just the two of us. Great drive to the three destinations. Bee farm & honey tasting… who knew bees were soooo amazing. Then onto the olive oil. Delicious oils with cheese & bread & tomatoes. Finally the wines. Great views to sample Kefalonias best wines whilst watching the swallows feeding their young. A lovely day and very interesting. Each stop had the products for sale so we purchased a few things and the prices were extremely reasonable.
Would highly recommend this experience along with Dimistris as a tour guide. We viewed some fantastic local businesses on the island producing high quality products with a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. 5 stars!

Loved this wine tasting experience! I went for the 5 wines, they had prepared a snack plate which was lovely! Eleanna, Sophia and Eletheria were all great hosts and the lady pouring the wines had exceptional knowledge! Thank you so much I will return
We spent a wonderful day with our Guide Dimitris, who introduced us to the bounty and beauty of Kefalonia. His knowledge of not only olives, honey and wine is unmatched, but he taught us so much history and background about the Island as well! Highly recommend this tour!
We first did this excursion last September and loved it so much that we had to share it with our families when we returned this Month. Dimitris is so friendly and knowledgeable and has a real passion for sharing the Greek culture! We can't recommend this highly enough, its a truly Authentic experience.
