Kauai Chocolate Farm Provsmakning Tour

Oh My Gosh, if you not only want to taste chocolate but you want to get into the details of how chocolate is made this is the tour for you. But it was way too much information for us. We were exhasuted listening to the process of chocalate harvesting and making. I have gone on many wine tours and they are less detailed than this tour is. I would rather it have been a lot shorter.

We had a great time on the tour! Our guide was outstanding!! We learned A LOT about the entire process to make chocolate - as well as the other plants on the farm. The chocolate that we tasted was amazing! One of the highlights of our trip.

This experience was truly unique. The tour started with free macadamia nuts, cacao tea, and apple-bananas. The staff and guys were incredibly friendly and focused on our comfort and to accommodate if necessary. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable; they explained each different plant, its origins, and answered a carrie variety of questions. The fruit tasting was really enjoyable as well, and of course, trying cacao and chocolate. This tour overall was really well done; however, my only complaint lies in how long the duration of the tour was. Going into this, I thought that three hours was far too long, while some reviews assured me that it wasn’t. My own personal opinion is that the tour could be an hour shorter as near the end we tasted different chocolate, but it felt very slow and repetitive; it felt like we were being talked at rather than learning with the group as we had previously done throughout the tour. I would have liked to have just tried the chocolate in a similar fashion to the fruit tasting, and I was hoping to learn more about the process they specifically use and potentially see more in depth than the surface-level one they showed. I’m very grateful for this experience, and the chocolate was absolutely delicious.

This tour changed the way we look at chocolate. Henry, our guide, was entertaining and educational. We came away with a new knowledge of not only chocolate but many other fruits that grow in Kauai. The tastings were fantastic. We highly recommend this tour.

What an amazing experience! 🍫🌿 The chocolate farm was absolutely beautiful, and the entire experience was so much fun and informative. We loved learning about how chocolate is grown and made, and of course, getting to taste all the delicious chocolate was the best part! The staff were friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. It was the perfect mix of education, relaxation, and chocolate—what more could you ask for? I would absolutely recommend visiting and can’t wait to come back!

Sheri was an amazing tour guide and we had so much fun learning about how artisans have learned to take the craft of chocolate cultivation and processing to ridiculously delicious levels. Nestled in the hills, the Lydgate farm is gorgeous; filled with flora and fauna that make the tour so much more than just a tasting of local fruits, nuts, and of course, chocolate. Recommend with zero critiques!
