Katherine Outback Experience ägs och drivs av flera Golden Guitar vinnare och ryttare extraordinära Tom Curtain. Outback-showen ger ett unikt fönster till livet på landet i outback Australien. Det är otroligt med häststartande och fungerande hunddemonstrationer förenade med australisk musik och humoristiska busthistorier. Det finns damm och kaos, och saker går inte alltid i plan, men det är en del av det verkliga outbackets skönhet. Katherine Outback Experience vann bästa NT turistattraktion 2018 & 2019, bästa NT besökareupplevelsepris 2018 brons vid National Tourism Awards 2019. Tom släppte sitt fjärde album i november 2019 som debuterade på nr 1 på de australiska iTunes Country Music Charts. Han har haft flera hit-topping-hits, tillsammans med att ha vunnit två Golden Guitar Awards för sin hitsingel Never Never Land, samt årets Australian Independent Country Music Album, Artist, Male Vocalist och Single of the Year.

Teamet ger en introduktion om vår historia, historia och show. En ung häst tas in på arenan och teamet börjar träna hästen live inför publiken och visar konsten att starta hästen. Vi förklarar psykologin mellan människa och häst och visar hur vi bygger förtroende. Om hästen är redo att gå framåt kommer vi att sadla och försöka rida den, ofta för första gången. Ingen häst används mer än tre gånger i utställningen. Vi går sedan över till våra mer avancerade hästar och visar vad som kan uppnås med kontinuerlig träning och tålamod. Gästerna hänvisas sedan till vår stora arena där vi tar fram vårt team av fantastiska brukshundar. Vi presenterar varje hund innan vi visar hur vi tränar dem att arbeta som ett team. Showen är aldrig komplett utan några av Toms originallåtar, framförda från sadeln, med gitarren i handen.

Interesting to understand about how horse handling is done when a young horse starts out. Watching the dogs train to assist in musters also interesting. Suitable activity for disabled walker. Cool water provided during show with an ice block to follow. I hoped we would have some country music as part of the live entry but this did not occur. Easy parking for larger vehicles. Maybe take a cushion to sit on as seats are a bit hard after a while.
We had a thoroughly lovely morning at the Outback Spectacular- the content was amazing, the interactions and training that Tom and Annabelle and Staff put in is incredible! We absolutely loved it! The iced facecloths,cold water and ice blocks at different intervals was a beautiful personal touch and kept us feeling refreshed and comfortable!

It was very enjoyable to listen to a little of the role of horsemanship and dog training in the outback. The experience was relaxing lighthearted and musical. Tom and his crew gave us all an informative show and were super friendly and accommodating.The providing the crowd with cool towels and ice blocks was a nice touch. It is also pleasure to support a worthy cause like Dolly’s Dream.
Perfect for all ages. Kids and adults. 5 stars. We are 50 and took my parents. We have just done the lap and this was by far one of the best things we have done

The show is entertaining and informative. A genuine outback experience. They also raise money for Dolly ‘s charity, aiming to decrease online bullying.

We had a great time. Enjoyed getting up close and personal with the animals and watching Tom and Jake working with the horses and dogs in the arena. Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience, well worth the time.. Tom has a lovely voice, loved the Roper River song.. family immersive, both the horses and dogs are great to see and hear how it’s all done..
