Chungkai var ett av baslägren på Burma-Siam-järnvägen och innehöll ett sjukhus och en kyrka byggd av allierade krigsfångar. Krigskyrkogården är den ursprungliga begravningsplatsen som påbörjades av fångarna själva, och begravningarna är mestadels av män som dog på sjukhuset. Det finns nu 1 426 samväldes- och 313 nederländska begravningar från andra världskriget på denna kyrkogård. (Total tid inkluderat resor från Bangkok till Bangkok)
Besök Jeath krigsmuseum, Namnet JEATH kommer från länder som var engagerade i konstruktionen av dödsjärnvägar från andra världskriget från 1942 till 1945: Japan, England, Amerika, Australien, Thailand och Holland. Och som namnet antyder visar detta lilla museum fotografier och illustrationer som berättar om levnadstillståndet för krigsfångar under den grymma tiden, av vilka några donerades av tidigare krigsfångar som överlevde.
Den berömda bron Under andra världskriget byggde Japan den meterstora järnvägslinjen från Ban Pong, Thailand till Thanbyuzayat, Burma. Detta är nu känt som Death Railway. Upplevelse ta ett tåg från River Kwai bridge till Kasae Cave.
Anländ till Krasae Cave, en historisk plats där krigsfångar en gång vilade, som ligger bredvid Death Railway. Idag är det ett populärt resmål där besökare kan promenera längs järnvägen och pausa för att visa respekt för Buddha-bilden som är inskriven i grottan.

The booking process needs improvement. We were given three different pick up times and asked for unnecessary paperwork eg copy of passport a week before the event However the driver and the tour leader were of exceptional quality. It was a long 11.5 hour day but we all decided that it was one of the best experiences we’ve had as we travel the world

This experience has been a highlight of my travels . Super comfortable with a private car , the guide Jimmy had an incredible amount of knowledge was friendly with a great science of humour. Our driver Pratheep was very experienced and courteous and we felt incredibly safe in our travels . The tour was full of history and beauty and was incredibly touching. I really appreciate every bit of the experience. The waterfalls were a great way to finish with. Do your self a favour and take the opportunity to do this tour.

It was an interesting experience to get out of Bangkok and see some of the Thai countryside. The lunch was pretty good for these kind of excursions with decent food and a beautiful view. Our guide Mam was extremely nice and helpful although we could not understand all she said.
Be prepared for the long hot day. As a planned group of 7, we were surprised to collect another couple. Very knowledgeable guide, with courteous driver. Parts of the road journey aittle hairy, some very crazy driving goes on. The tour it's self very sobering and thought provoking, but glad we did it. Amazing scenery.

My tour was cancelled the night before - so I didn’t get to experience this. It’s quite disappointing - received a message asking to change my dates etc

Very interesting program of the day. We enjoyed visiting the Kwai River Bridge, the cave and the train tour. Everything was colorful. However, big downside: our guide, whose name is unknown since he did not show up, gave us very little information as much about the course of the day as about the history of this place. Moreover, he did not stop talking loudly all along the way without addressing us.
