It was better than expected. We had the most informative guide named Tim who was well versed on the history, multiple landscapes and most importantly, the ancient rock paintings. The Crocodile jumping and bird life was spectacular. I would definitely recommend this experience.
An exciting and spectacular day trip! The Jumping Crocs cruise was fun and entertaining, and seeing those huge reptiles catch their bait was a thrill. Kakadu National Park and the Ubirr Rock Art were the absolute highlights. The climb up the rocks was a bit effort, but the unimaginable 360° views of the flood plains, rugged rock landscapes and mountain ranges were well worth it. Huge thanks to our guide, Boggie, whose great humor, knowledge, and insights into Aboriginal culture made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend this tour if you visit the Top End.
Wonderful day experiencing a very special part of Australia and a chance to connect with 65,000 years of indigenous culture. ‘Aussie Tim’ was an amazing guide who shared so much knowledge and insight into the history and culture of the area.
Ozzie Tim the tour guide drove very well all day felt safe, his knowledge about different cultures, plants & fauna, indigenous history, told lots of interesting stories, his overall knowledge was exceptional, he was very friendly. Thank you Viator and Autopia tours.

I think any trip to kakadu from Darwin is going to be a long trip. 3 hours to the park. A long time on the bus but worth it. Our guide was amazing, very knowledgeable, had lots of stories. Tok extra stops of he noticed something interesting on the road. Bowalii not really worth the stop but the walk with the cave paintings made the long trip extremely worth it. The view at the top of the walk is amazing.
Thank you for sharing your detailed experience! It’s true that a trip from Darwin to Kakadu involves a long drive, but it sounds like the journey was well worth it. Having an amazing guide who’s knowledgeable, storytelling, and attentive to interesting sights along the way really enhances the trip. While the Bowalii stop wasn’t the highlight, the cave paintings walk and the breathtaking view from the top clearly made the long journey worthwhile. Your insights will surely help others appreciate the value of this adventure!
The hike through Ubirr was fantastic - Indigenous rock art on many of the huge rock faces and caves. The view at the top of the rock is incredible, following a climb up many uneven rock steps. Dylan did a great job educating and entertaining us through the day. He clearly loves the wildlife and knew a huge amount about crocs.

Fantastic experience. Guide/driver Aussie Tim went above and beyond on the day from pickup to drop off. Lots of interesting facts along the way and at stops. Small group - 18 friendly people from around the world aged from young to old. The wetland was full of spectacular birds. Kakadu was truly amazing! The ancient rock art was so interesting. Cahills Crossing - watching guy fishing as tide came in was interesting . Highly recommend this for anyone visiting.
