We loved the Tour of the old egyptian Museum and the NMEC very much. Our Guide Sayed Mehmoud was fantastic. He gave us very much Information, he knows a lot of things and he was very friendly. So we had a Great day and a Great experience
The guide was fine, but the tour was rushed. That was not his fault. It was Viator's fault for failing to recognize that the museum closes early during Ramadan. I would recommend the guide, but do not trust Viator to be current on closing times for sites. Viator needs to do a better job of working with local companies to ensure that a four-hour tour is not cut to three hours, as happened to me.
A fantastic and well organised trip. Or guide listened to what we wanted to do and modified accordingly. We extended our tour with him and went to the museum of civilisation as well to see the royal mummies. Lunch was very good by the lake and also relaxing after all the hustle of the museums. One of our best trips in Cairo so far. Thank you.
Our guide Wagih was spectacular. Fun, enthusiastic and helpful. He listened to what we wanted to see and worked accordingly. We went to both the Cairo museum and we schemed to go to the museum of civilisation, which was definitely worth it. Lunch was unexpectedly good and relaxed. I’d also like to thank our driver who proves that you can drive in Cairo and be a gentleman. One of the best trips we have been on in Cairo. Thank you Wagih.
The only good thing was that I received a ride to the museum. After past reviews my guide was lacking in knowledge and enthusiasm. She did not tell me anything that I already knew. Her bored expression told me she didn’t want to be there. I believe the guys are better guides than some women.
Mohamed was one of the best tour guides I ever had. He was knowlegeable and witty, I had the feeling of being together with a friend. Highest recommendation !
Pierre did an excellent job of explaining Egyptian ancient history. He is an excellent guide who knows his stuff. The old Egyptian Museum is well worth visiting besides the new GEM.
