Great variety of pastries, lots of walking so be prepared. Nice balance of treats with history. Had a wonderful time!
Whilst we enjoyed the tour, and found the guide friendly and happy to chat, we were disappointed that we didn’t learn more about the history of danish pastry making and why it developed into the industry it is today. We didn’t spend any time in the bakeries or get to watch any of the processes so it felt very superficial and not value for money. A visit to a small, independent bakery where we could have had a short talk from a baker, or a chance to watch them working would have made the trip so much more interesting. Trying the pastries was enjoyable, and we learnt a little about them, but we definitely came away with the feeling of having wanted so much more from the experience.
Tour consisted of tour guide going into several bakeries & buying pastries and handing them out. Little dialog from guide! Had better pastries & more info from one stop on a food tour previous day.
Fun and delicious. Our tour guide, Linea, made the tour personal despite having a large group. The walk provided a good jumping off point to other places to check out during our visit.
me and my partner met our tour guide Valdemar who took us around the different bakeries and told us facts about the local area as well as talking about the pastries which were delicious! my favourite was the vanilla danish crown which was so tasty and i could have eaten more! there was a lot of walking involved to get from bakery to bakery but i enjoyed this as we seen more of the local area!
This was an absolutely brilliant tour. The pastries were fantastic and the history and insider stories were fascinating. Our guide Sofia was a delight. She was very charismatic , knowledgeable about history, and very patient with a group. I would highly recommend this tour and Sofia for an excellent way to see the city. Bring your good walking shoes and appetite.
My friend and I were traveling to Copenhagen for a long weekend and absolutely LOVED this tour! We had such a fun group of people from all over - it was really fun to chat with people and learn about them. Our guide, Noah, was amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, and handled everything for us! At the end of the tour he even handed our recommendations to everyone based on what they were interested in doing. 100/10 would recommend this!
This activity was fun, but do note that it occurs rain or shine (we walked in the rain). You do walk about 3 miles & since we were a tour of 12 we sampled all the pastries outside the bakeries. There really was no variety of pastry. Strictly cinnamon and cardamon. It would have been fun to mix in a chocolate or fruit pastry in the tour.
The tour was great! Seven of us (friends and family) went to 5 bakeries and learned about the history of the bakeries and each of the different pastries we tried. Our guides also pointed out some additional sites along the way. Highly recommend it.
This was such a fun and delicious tour! Perfect amount of walking around to counter balance the pastry eating and really fun to learn about different pastries in Denmark!
