Denna 2,5-timmars rundtur äger rum varje fredag morgon och erbjuder dig en möjlighet att fördjupa dig i historien om en av de mest förödande perioderna i den moderna eran. När du går in i varje galleri kommer du att höra historierna bakom hundratals föremål som visas medan du besöker en av Jerusalems mest populära turistattraktioner. När din guide leder vägen kommer du in i förintelshistoriska museet, designad av världsberömd arkitekt Moshe Safdie. Den prisma-liknande triangulära strukturen tränger in i berget från ena sidan till den andra, med båda ändarna dramatiskt cantilevering in i friluft. Din guide kommer sedan ta dig igenom nio olika gallerier, var och en som visar ett annat "kapitel" i annalerna av förintelsen. Du kommer att stöta på autentiska affischer, propaganda och antisemitiska brädspel som ger sammanhang för utvecklingen i nazistiska Tyskland under 1930-talet. På "Leszno Street" kommer du att gå på kullerstenar i en rekonstruerad gata från Warszawas getto. Andra höjdpunkter inkluderar det ursprungliga Auschwitz-albumet, ett fotoalbum som innehåller det enda överlevande visuella beviset på processen som ledde till massmordet på Auschwitz-Birkenau och en kopia av "Schindlers lista". Vid museets stängning ligger den monumentala Hall of Names. När du går in i cirkulationshallen kan du titta upp på det kuperade taket där bilderna på 600 män, kvinnor och barn visas. När du tittar ner ser du bilderna som återspeglas nedan i en pool med vatten grävde djupt in i berggrunden. Vid slutet av turnén är du välkommen att utforska resten av det omfattande Yad Vashem-området och campus i din egen takt.

It's a nice experience that teaches us about tolerance and history. Might be a bit tough for kids, but we went as a family with two young teenagers who understood what the museum is about. It's a heavy atmosphere, but totally worth it. Spent around 3 hours
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided a historical perspective over a wide range of topics throughout the tour. I would have given 5 stars were the tour over an extended period of time. Not the fault of the tour guide, rather it was a Friday, and the Museum was closing at 12:30pm and there was zero time to spend in the gift shop.
An impressive experience, moving photos, ye laso my instagram, there are many fabimaranon, the building is spectacular, it smiles, modern and excellent, the audio guides look at my photos
It is a foolproof experience, to learn the story of this horrible stage of humanity that was lived with Nazism, and to say NEVER AGAIN
Well-kept and organized museum, surely the visit is mandatory for those who have a few more days in Jerusalem.
This was apart of our tour would of preferred not to go as we have been to auschwitz Germany. It pretty graphic and you can see clearly how horrible it was - it brought tears to my eyes the whole way through. You will need at least hour just to briefly go through the museum
This museum is excellent. It is an absolute must see. It was so sad and moving. There was so much information. It would take several days to be able to adequately see everything.
My wife and I have been to Yad Vashem twice. Both times were difficult as this might be the most moving experience I have ever had. As a child no one spoke about the Holocaust. It was never taught about it in religious school. I'm guessing the tragedy was something Jews wanted to forget about rather than remember. I never questioned why my grandfather had no relatives in this country not knowing his entire family had been killed in the camps. Today in many large cities we have memorials and museums to remember the victims. Not surprising the one in Israel is the largest as well as the most complete. Every person who visits Israel should go regardless of their religion. In that way by remembering the past hopefully in will never happen again in the future.
I think every person should visit there, hear about history, understand the unperceived reality that was and look at the present in a different way.
