Patrizia was amazing! She was so kind and knowledgeable and made such an effort to make it a great experience for all. We would recommend her class specifically to anyone. One of the highlights of our trip!
It was actually the best experience with Antoinetta!! She was the absolute best and the recipes were amazing. The experience we had was the highlight of our trip.
False advertising. Not in Varenna. Twenty minute drive away. Viator never updated the meeting point and address to the actual spot. Activity provider not helpful either once this issue was realized.
Dear Kyle, please note that all our experiences take place in private homes. For privacy reasons, the exact address cannot be disclosed prior to booking; the address displayed on the Viator platform is a general location. We sincerely regret any frustration this may have caused. However, this important information is clearly stated in the Viator voucher that each guest receives after making a reservation: the event is either taking place in Varenna or Bellano.
Patrizia’s cooking class was completely authentic. The view from our table was exceptional. She was kind and followed up with the recipes promptly. Her daughter assisted as we had a total of 9 participants. We took the class with our adult daughter and two other families with young children participated. I had inquired about ravioli making and she even added that to the evening. The focaccia was the absolute best I had ever eaten. Taking this class was one of the highlights of our summer in Italy.
Patrizia and Luca are the loveliest couple. The location is stunning, the instruction and the food are both phenomenal and being in their home felt like visiting family friends. We do a cooking class in every country we visit for a more authentic experience and this has been our favorite one we’ve done so far. This is the best experience you can book in the area! Book it!
this was by FAR one of the greatest experiences my family and I have ever had! Patrizia and Luca are the most amazing people who welcomed us with open arms and are just overall super friendly!! They showed us how to make tradition Italian dishes and even sent us the recipes so we can make their delicious dishes back home! I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone coming to Lake Como and to anyone who wants to experience authentic Italian food with the most amazing views. Thank you Patrizia and Luca for memories we will remember forever!!!
What a wonderful experience! Learned how to make pasta and tiramisu from our host’s family recipes. Patrizia welcomed us into her home and was the perfect instructor - kind and patient while allowing us to learn. We had a wonderful lunch out in her garden with spectacular views! Highly recommend!! Her home is not easy to locate and I would advise to reserve a taxi the night before the event - it is absolutely worth the drive!!
By far the best cooking class I have ever taken. Such a loving and caring host. Everything felt so smooth and enjoyable. Had a charcuterie board, made bread, pastas, and tiramisu. All with wine of course. Incredible views and would take again if presented with the chance. Make sure to arrange travel well in advance. Taxis can be hard to come by and you cannot walk to the hosts home. Consider reaching out to the host prior to the experience an inquiry about logistics.
I would give this experience 100 stars if I could! We spent the day with Patrizia and her husband, Luca, in their beautiful home, and it was truly unforgettable. The view alone is worth the visit. They taught us how to make two types of pasta and a tiramisu completely from scratch, and everything was delicious. They also treated us to an amazing spread of local cheeses, locally made honey, wine, and fresh focaccia. To make the experience even more special, they set up a lovely table in their garden where my family and I could enjoy the meal we had prepared together. Patrizia and Luca were incredibly warm, welcoming, and generous hosts. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area! The only thing I would mention is transportation. Their home is located high up on a mountain, and the drive can be a bit intimidating for less experienced drivers. It’s definitely manageable and absolutely worth it (there’s also parking), but it’s something to keep in mind when planning your visit.
We went To Federico's home and he taught us how to make pasta, 3 different kinds from start to finish. He had homemade bolognaise already made since it takes longer but we made homemade pesto, tiramisu, 3 types of pasta including ravioli which he had the filling done ahead of time so we could enjoy. Once the class was done we sat in his garden and drank Aperol spritz made by him and wine while he finished and plated our 3 courses and then desert. This was a great experience. At first it is a little strange going into someone's home but in the end we had an evening of laughing, cooking, eating, drinking and complete satisfaction and enjoyment!! Thank you Federico, you truly gave us an Italian experience. One of my top travel experiences I have had!!! GRATZI
