The most breathtaking experience I have ever had. The guide was extremely nice and took some great pictures for everyone.

Lower Antelope Canyon, near Page, Arizona, is one of the most photogenic slot canyons in the Southwest, and it's easy to see why it draws crowds year-round. The good: The light beams and swirling sandstone walls create incredible, otherworldly formations — every twist reveals a new shape or color gradient (deep oranges, purples, and pinks depending on the time of day). The narrow passageways and ladder climbs make it feel more like an adventure/hike rather than just a walk-through. Best photos come midday (roughly 10am–1pm) when sunlight filters down into the canyon. The less good: It can only be visited with a Navajo guide (required, not optional) — tours book up fast. It's physically more demanding than the Upper canyon: several steep metal stairs/ladders, tight squeezes, and uneven footing. Photography is more rushed if you're on a large group tour — guides keep things moving to avoid bottlenecks in narrow sections. Extremely hot in summer, and flash flood risk means it can close without notice if rain is anywhere in the region (even miles away). Tips: Wear closed-toe shoes — the ladders and sand make flip-flops a bad idea. If serious about photography, ask about photographer-specific tours that move slower. Overall: a must-see natural wonder, well worth the ~1 hour visit, but come prepared for a workout, not a leisurely stroll.

Very enjoyable. Alot of stairs and tight areas, but not an issue if you take your time and 1 step at a time.

Exceptional experience. The canyon is full of twists and turns with a view in every step. 250+ photos later. :-). The guide, Fiona, stopped along the walk to point out different features. The walk is easy as long as you have the right shoes on. Stairs are slippery due to sand. An unforgetable tour!!!
