The concert was shorter than advertised No atmosphere No introduction of musicians or pieces Music was good Mr bean on the cello was comical although he played well Not to be repeated as a special night out
A fantastic, mesmerizing performance of Vivaldi in the perfect setting. Such exceptional skill on display, and the most wonderful music. Highly recommended.
The musicians were clearly well rehearsed, but sometimes it was hard to relate to such dramatic from 300 years ago.
Definitely a highlight of our trip to Italy! The musicians and the venue were amazing. *** NOTE - use the restroom before arriving at the venue! Only two very small restrooms at the front of the church for ~400 people, and one was in very poor condition.
Nice combination of music museum and concert night. The two locations are close together. We visited the museum in the afternoon, had a bite to eat and then could go to the concert. Beautiful music by Vivaldi of course, but incredibly talented musicians. Their performance is comparable to that of top athletes!! Ideal way to teach my partner who was still a bit layman is in this field, to enjoy all this valuable heritage.
Absolutely PHENOMENAL! The musicians were exceptional, the ensemble so tight. What a joy it was to experience this concert in this beautiful setting!
A complete experience, the concert with a very high-level group, a precise and tight interpretation of such virtuoso music, plus with the passion that they did it, is not easy to find. A visit to the Museum is also highly recommended, an impressive collection of instruments and a range of very interesting books.
There are no words that can fully convey the beauty and uniqueness of Venice, with its splendid palaces, some of which house collections of precious works of art by giants of Venetian art, in particular the galleries of the Accademia and Ca ' Rezzonico (the museum of eighteenth-century Venice). The various views in the streets, the little bridges, the ancient Venetian shops are suggestive. You also come across curious places and objects, e.g. the salt stele, the former Italia theater now converted into a supermarket which nevertheless retains the decorations of the theater, the golden head dangling on the Rialto bridge, etc. Among the islands, in addition to the strange Murano and Burano, it is definitely worth taking a guided tour of the Mekhitarist Armenian monastery on the small island of S. Lazzaro, easily reachable by vaporetto line 20 (although the single route costs €9.50! ). Venice always in my heart!
Just seen in Venice in the church of San Vidal. They are very good and gave us goosebumps. The church was packed and the acoustics were perfect. Good job, everyone!
If nothing else, be sure you use the restroom before entering this venue. It’s highly probable you won’t have another chance until you leave the venue. The restrooms are located in front of the hall, right next to the stage. There is only one restroom for women and one for men. No one is allowed to use them, except during the intermission and the process is long and slow. Many people rushed up front, but they were all told (in a very mean manner, like we all had a problem) to return to their seats after just a few short minutes. Many guests, like myself, were very unhappy and immediately left in search of a restroom. I would never return here and I would never recommend it to anyone. A pretty expensive lesson.
