Vi kommer att besöka Gamla stan, Mandraki-hamnen tillsammans med området där Kolossen på Rhodos en gång låg. Sedan går du genom Rhodos antika Akropolis. Efter det tar vi en naturskön bilresa på östkusten mot den vita byn Lindos. Du kommer att ha mer än en timmes vistelse för att utforska dess smala gator och besöka den vackra Akropolis på toppen. Vi börjar vår turné med en biltur runt murarna i Gamla stan i Rhodos - den största bebodda medeltida staden i Europa. Den byggdes på 1300-talet från riddarna av Johannesorden. Den medeltida staden Rhodos är inskriven på UNESCO:s världsarvslista. Om du vill kan vi förlänga turnéns längd med 1 timme och du kan också ha lite ledig tid att gå genom Gamla stan och utforska den på egen hand.
Mandraki hamn - vi kommer att stanna vid den plats där den gamla och legendariska kolossen av Rhodos en gång stod. Det var känt som en av de sju underverk i den gamla världen.
Vi kommer också att komma in i Annunciationkyrkan, som är den största ortodoxa kyrkan i staden med mycket vackra handgjorda målningar på väggarna.
Först kommer vi att få ett stopp för en fantastisk panoramautsikt över staden Rhodos och då kommer du att ta en promenad genom templet Pythian Apollo, den gamla stadion och amfiteatern
På begäran kan vi få stopp vid en keramikfabrik för att se hur keramik görs - en teknik som har använts från antiken till nu. Om du är intresserad av att köpa smycken som souvenir från ditt besök på Rhodos kan vi också få ett stopp vid en guldfabrik för att hitta ditt unika stycke.
Vid ankomsten till Lindos kommer vi att spendera några minuter på toppen av kullen för att suga i den spektakulära utsikten och ta tag i minnesvärda panoramabilder innan vi går till torget.
Din chaufför kommer att lämna dig precis utanför ingången till byn Lindos. Du kommer att ha minst 1 timmes vistelse för en promenad genom de smala gatorna i denna traditionella by. Om du går upp genom de små, slingrande gatorna kommer du så småningom till Akropolis på toppen. En dramatisk utsikt kommer att vara din stora belöning kombinerat med massor av historia och stora fotomöjligheter (entréavgift 20 Euro / per person). Akropolis i Lindos är den näst mest populära Akropolis i Grekland efter Parthenon i Aten. Din chaufför väntar på dig på exakt den plats han lämnade dig.
Innan vi lämnar byn Lindos kommer vi att stoppa bilder på en av de vackraste stränderna på ön med en fantastisk utsikt

Our guide, Aga, did an outstanding job showing us the beauty and history of Rhodes while skillfully helping us avoid the crowds. His passion for the island and deep knowledge of its history truly enhanced the experience. We were also traveling with my 86-year-old mother, and Aga was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive to her throughout the day. Our half-day tour to Lindos was just what I was looking for. It was great to get out of Rhodes City for awhile and be around the olive trees and forests. Lindos was beautiful as expected, and was extra great because our guide Nicholas made sure we got ahead of a big tour bus we saw heading the same way. We had the acropolis nearly all to ourselves for at least half an hour, which was fantastic. We mixed our tour with what they typically offer and cut a couple things and added another stop we were interested in, and Nicholas knew just the best way to do it. He's very knowledgeable and fun and passionate about Rhodes - just what you want in a guide. We learned a lot and had a great time.

Nikolas showed us all over the island and was the consummate host. He asked about our needs and wants and made sure he met each and every one. It was an incredible day on a lovely island. My niece lost her earring during the day and Nikos incredibly was called a few hours later by someone who knew someone else who knew he had been looking for something that was lost and she got it back! It would not have happened if not for Nikos and his familiarity with so many on the island. It made our day even better, if that was possible. We saw all of the sites, had a fabulous fresh fish lunch, and were able to get some local pottery to take home. The last thing I'll mention is Nikos' attention to detail. The third in our group is handicapped and needs assistance. Nikos made sure she was always cared for and when she chose to stay in the car he took her for a coffee. Now that is a wonderful host. We very much appreciated his time, kindness, and care while visiting Rhodes. We highly recommend Nikolas as a guide.

Our driver, Vasilis, met us at the ship and took us on a 5 hour tour of Rhodes in an S Class Mercedes. His English was excellent as he told us about the history of Rhodes and what life in Rhodes is currently like. We stopped at many beautiful spots for photos. We went to the Acropolis of Lindos. We asked to be dropped off at a local restaurant before returning to the cruise ship.

Our tour guide Nichollas was amazing! Traveling in Rhodes in January is definitely the off-season. We were having a hard time finding a guide to take us to Lindos until we found Nicholas. It was the best thing we could’ve done. He not only took us to Lindos, but also took us to several other historic places and an out-of-the-way shrine that we would’ve never found ourselves. Plus he called a ceramic store to see if we could stop and watch how ceramics were made. He was closed but let us come watch and buy a beautiful plate. Stopped at a fruit stand had a most delicious orange Thanks to Nichollas. He really made our trip.

We stayed in Rhodes in January. So it definitely was the off, off season. We wanted to go to Lindos but did not feel comfortable renting a car. After much searching we found a private tour on Viator. Couldn’t be happier! Nicholas was amazing. He just didn’t take us to Lindos but to several other historic sights including an out of the way shrine we would never have found ourselves. We stopped at a fruit stand had fresh oranges - that were delicious. He gave us his number just in case we needed anything while we were in Rhodes. He made our trip. As a side note January in Rhodes is a ghost town. If you like shopping this is not a good time. However if you want to see all the sights without all the crowds it was Perfect!

Our guide, Christopher, provided an excellent tour of Rhodes. He was very knowledgeable and professional. We particularly appreciated that he was flexible in customizing the tour to our preferences. My husband has mobility issues and Christopher was very accommodating and helpful. We also appreciated the clear communication before the tour so that we knew exactly where and how we would be met. Requested a custom tour as we have visited Rhodes before. Got a prompt response from Ellie and after a few emails the trip was arranged. Picked up by Aga at our hotel we had a most enjoyable and informative seven hour tour. Aga was great company and very knowledgeable, providing excellent counsel on our best options. He topped it all with an excellent recommendation for lunch. A local fish taverna on the sea front with a beautiful outlook , lovely food and excellent hospitality.
