Efter att ha hämtats på överenskommen plats, kommer vi att ta en kort tur till första stoppet längs gatorna i Šibenik, där du kan njuta av fantastisk utsikt över Šibenik landskapet, med utsikt över havet och Šibeniköarna. Efter upphämtningen påbörjar vi en lätt ritt längs de vackra gatorna i Šibenik, hela vägen till Dražen Petrović-monumentet och lekplatsen. Dražen Petrović var den bästa kroatiska basketspelaren och en av de mest kända sportfigurerna från Šibenik. Vår förare kommer att dela med sig lite mer om de härliga tiderna när Dražen spelade för den lokala klubben och landslaget.
Baronefästningen (även känd som Šubićevacfästningen; kroatiska: Tvrđava Barone eller Tvrđava Šubićevac) är en fästning som byggdes 1646 på Vidakuša-kullen ovanför staden. Fästningen återupplivades och återinvigdes i januari 2016. Precis som den renoverade S:t Mikaelsfästningen 2014 vann Barones fästning också det nationella priset för Årets kulturattraktion 2016. Den erbjuder nu sina besökare en digital rundtur genom Šibeniks förflutna via en plattform för förstärkt verklighet och andra multimediafunktioner.
Johannesfästningen (även känd som Tanaja; kroatiska: Tvrđava sv. Ivana) ligger på en kulle norr om stadens historiska centrum. Den fick sitt namn efter en medeltida kyrka tillägnad Johannes Döparen, som hade stått där sedan åtminstone 1444. Fästningen, tillsammans med den intilliggande Barone fästningen, byggdes under det kretensiska kriget och slog framgångsrikt tillbaka efterföljande osmanska attacker 1646 och 1647. Det lokala namnet på fästningen, Tanaja, kommer från en av dess strukturer, ett tångformat utanverk, eller tenaille (italienska: tenaglia).
Sankt Mikaels fästning är ett medeltida fort som ligger på en brant kulle ovanför stadens gamla historiska centrum. Fästningen fick sitt namn efter den äldsta kyrkan i Šibenik, S:t Mikaelskyrkan, som låg innanför dess murar. En teori tyder på att kyrkan byggdes under den första vågen av kristnandet av Kroatien, från slutet av 700-talet till början av 800-talet. Sedan fästningen återinvigdes i juli 2014 har dess utomhusscen blivit en viktig del av Šibeniks kulturliv. Idag är det det näst mest besökta kulturarvsmonumentet i Šibenik, liksom den näst mest besökta befästningen i Kroatien.

Katedralen i St James är en av de mest betydande och vackraste arkitektoniska prestationerna i Kroatien och har varit med på UNESCO:s världsarvslista sedan 2000. Det byggdes under en period av mer än hundra år, under 1400- och 1500-talen, och är unikt för att vara byggt helt i sten. De viktigaste byggarna av katedralen var Juraj Dalmatinac (Georgius Mathei Dalmaticus) och Nikola Firentinac (Niccolò di Giovanni Fiorentino). Ursprungligen byggdes den i gotisk stil, men färdigställdes senare i renässansstil. Vårt sista stopp vid katedralen är perfekt för en kort promenad genom gågatan, så att du kan utforska en del av Šibeniks rika historia samt uppleva den lokala livsstilen idag.

We found our Tuk Tuk right outside our ship, though we didn’t quite see him right away. We traveled easily through the streets of Sibenik to each of the 3 fortresses. You have about 10 minutes to explore two fortresses, Barone and St. John’s and then a guided tour of St. Michael’s. You stop at a lovely restaurant for your snack and wine. It is plentiful and delicious. Our dirive, Vice, was professional and knowledgeable. We then ended the tour at St. James Cathedral where you have some free time. We were taken back to our ship at the end of our tour.
It was exvellent, our guide Luka was fantastic guide who was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any of our questions. He was chilled laid back and nothing was too much trouble. The sights were beautiful and the wine tasting was unexpectedly amazing, such nice people, great wine and food, with no harsh after sale. I highly recommend this trip, it was worth every penny 😀

Excellent and unique way to experience Sibenik with the Tuk Tuk tour. Great communication with the tour operator in advance and the tour guide, Francesco, on the day of regarding pick up at our ship's tender port. Francesco's knowledge of the Fortresses and the city itself was impressive and concise. We were given time on our own at each Fortress to explore. The highlight of our tour was the stop at Restaurant & Caffebar sv Lovre, a restored monastery for a wine tasting with charcuterie board. Family run, son Tony provided the history of the venue as well as wine highlights. Highly recommend this tour for a unique way to experience Sibenik.

This was great! Our guide was outstanding and knowledgeable, our ship could not get to port due high winds and he came to meet us where we had to tender ashore. They entire afternoon was fantastic and we highly recommend.

Had a great tour with Luca. The electric tuk tuk charged up hills and was a fun open air ride. Luca is a certified guide and had extensive knowledge of history of the town over the centuries. It would be impossible for most people to hike up to the two top fortresses, but nothing in the tuk tuk and the views were outstanding. After seeing the three fortresses it was off to the winery. Great food treats and very nice wines. We bought a bottle of course. Highly recommend the tuk tuk tour!

Luka was an amazing tour guide, extremely knowledgeable on the local area. I would highly recommend this tour over the cruise tours, the tour company picked us up at the cruise ship drop off (Port Luka) and started our tour; I bet even the locals could learn something new from Luka our guide. Fun and exciting way to see many sights in a short time!

Our tour guide, Luka, was friendly and knowledgeable. He met us at our location in the tuk tuk. We were the only people on the tour. Luka provided interesting information as we drove by various sites. We had somewhat of a hard time hearing him and we were sitting right behind him. I can’t imagine that if there were others sitting behind us in the tuk tuk that they would be able to hear a thing. We visited two fortresses - given time to walk through each without the guide. And then to the Winery Rak, which was fabulous. We tasted three very good wines and were given a very generous amount of breads, cheeses, olive oil, and prosciutto - all delicious but we couldn’t finish it. The owner was very gracious and provided interesting information about the wines, process, olive oil, etc. The wines were very good and we bought a white and a red. By this time, St Michael’s Fortress had closed (17:00), so Luka gave us our tickets to go the next day, which we did. We didn’t get to go in the Cathedral either, which I thought was included in the price. All in all, this is a great tour and an easy and fun way to get to each fortress. And the wine tasting really made it!
