Den Humantay sjön ligger på 4200 höjd i distriktet Mollepata, 25 kilometer på en grusväg från Mollepata centrum. Därefter görs en 3 km promenad för att nå destinationen. Om din sak är att njuta av natur och vandring, är denna plats idealisk. Humantay är ett snötäckt berg som ingår i bergskedjan Andean, bland de majestätiska Salkantay- och Humantayfjällen, som vid upptining ger upphov till lagunen som på grund av sin unika turkosa färg genererar intresse för utländska och nationella besökare. Turen börjar hämta dig från ditt hotell cirka klockan 04:00, beroende på din hotellplats kommer hämtningstiden att vara ganska annorlunda.
När gruppen är redo kommer det stora äventyret att börja i riktning mot Humantay Lake. Du reser med bil i ca 2 timmar i vår turisttransport tills du kommer till kommunen Mollepata. Här njuter du av en utsökt frukost innan du fortsätter med turen. Fortsätter Humantay Lake Tour, bilen lämnar huvudvägen för att ta grusvägen i 1 timme till. Under resan kan du observera vackra landskap, kanjoner, molnskogar och vackra glaciärer som Salkantay-glaciären (den näst största glaciären i Cusco-regionen).
När du anländer till slutstoppet för skåpbilen, börjar gruppen vandra i 1,5 timme till ca. Tiden är ett genomsnitt och det beror på säker på din hastighet men inga bekymmer du kommer att vandra i din rytm. Vandringen är lite mer steg än Rainbow Mountain Tour, så försök att ha många stopp för att inte tröttna lätt. När de når den otroliga Humantay turkosa sjön kommer hela gruppen att ha informationen från reseguiden och ledig tid för att utforska platsen mer, ungefär 40 minuter återstår innan de kommer tillbaka till parkeringen. SLUTA PÅ TUREN Efter 1 timme får du lunch på samma restaurang än på morgonen. Eftersom vandringen kräver mycket ansträngning är det lunchbuffé för att få tillbaka all energi som gått förlorad under vandringen. När du avslutar Humantay Lake Tour, återvänder du till Cusco stad och anländer ca 17:00, där vår transport tar dig till stadens centrum eller om det är en privat tjänst till ditt respektive hotell. Yesi is a great guide; she does her job with love, and it shows. The experience is incredible and very enjoyable if you are in good physical condition. We would definitely return happily.
We hired the Perú Grand Travel agency, still in Brazil, with 2 months left for our trip that happened in June/26. They solved everything for us! They made the transfer from the airport, the tours were the way we asked to serve my husband who has motor difficulties. The guide Yessi was super careful, respectful with my husband and everyone in the group I indicate a lot. Super confident. Very precious Yessi guide!! Oops! The agency asks for a 25% advance payment, super understand if you give me a little. But you can trust.
From start to finish, it was an excellent tour. They picked us up at the agreed time (very early, which helped us arrive at the destination without other tourists). The driver Jaime was very kind at all times, and he took us to all the destinations safely and quickly. We had a buffet breakfast halfway through the trip to the Humantay lagoon, with very good products, which was greatly appreciated to arrive with energy for the trekking. The guide Roony let us sleep on the way to the lake, and there, he was attentive to the whole group (those who rode horses and those of us who trekked) and explained some things about the site and the local culture along the way. Then at the lagoon, he was always willing to take photos of all of us (showing us the best spots) and he gave us an explanation of the lagoon, the mountains, and the treks that can be done. On the way back, we stopped for lunch at the same place where we had breakfast, everything was very delicious. And on the return trip to Cusco, the guide provided us with information about some Inca terraces.
Beautiful experience. The Humantay Lake is unique and incredible. Roony was our guide and took care of every person in the group. In my case, due to an injury to my foot, I rode a mule, and everything was very organized. I appreciate the explanation Roony gave us about Humantay Lake: history and anecdotes. His passion and professionalism for what he does is evident. Jaime, the driver, is very professional.

Very good tour! The place is beautiful, so the hike is worth it. Roony is an excellent guide keeping you motivated all the way and taking care of your health with advice and previous warm-up. Plus very clear and simple explanations of local history.

Very good experience. We were picked up in Cusco at 3:50am and had breakfast at a buffet in less than 30 minutes. This allowed us to reach the lagoon before anyone else. We had the whole place just for ourselves and the pictures were amazing. Most visitors don’t arrive so early and their photos are not so clean. 100% recommended. Very good experience. And our guide Rafael excellent.
