Byggd från 1804 av kung Gia Long och färdigställd 1833 av kung Minh Mang. Detta område användes som bostads- och arbetskvarter för kungar och kungafamiljens medlemmar av Nguyendynastin fram till 1945, och erkändes av UNESCO som VÄRLDSKULTURARV. Detta är ett måste att se plats, som inte bör missas om du reser till Hue och älskar att lära sig om landets historia och vietnamesiska kungliga kultur.
Graven är känd för landskapsarkitektur och orientalisk arkitektur. Denna grav planerades och påbörjades av Minh Mang men byggdes av hans efterträdare - kung Thieu Tri, från början av 1841 till 1843. Gravens yta är 15 hektar med vardagsrum, arbetsområde för kung, drottning,.. och särskilt vardagsrum för hans minderåriga fruar och konkubiner efter hans död.
Bro byggd 1776 av fru Tran Thi Dao. Det är nu en av endast 4 täckta bron i Vietnam. Thanh Toan Covered Bridge (även känd som Hue Japanese Covered Bridge) är en träbågsbro med ett tegeltak som korsar ett dike, belägen i Thanh Thuy Chanh by, Thuy Thanh kommun, Huong Thuy stad, Thua Thien - Hue provinsen. Det ligger cirka 8 km sydost om staden Hue. Denna träbro är klassad som sällsynt och har det högsta konstnärliga värdet bland de gamla broarna i Vietnam.
Tu Duc startade sin grav långt innan han dör 1883. Det stora området av graven byggdes från 1864 till 1867, tillsammans med senare tempelbyggnader som användes som ett kungligt palats för Tu Duc och hans fruar när han fortfarande levde. Byggandet av graven krävde för mycket arbete och höga skatter.
Ursprungligen byggdes år 2000 denna vattenpark spänner över ett område på 49,9 hektar. Den innehöll olika höjdpunkter som ett akvarium, en drakskulptur och en läktare med en sittplats på 2 500. Projektet uppnådde dock inte önskat affärsresultat och tvingades stänga. Efter ett ägar- och förvaltningsbyte blev turistområdet Thuy Tien Lake i Hue under en längre tid en övergiven park. År 2016 publicerade Huffingtonpost.com (USA) en artikel som visade upp de kusliga och ödsliga bilderna av denna turistplats. Sedan dess har Thuy Tien Lake Water Park i Hue blivit känd som en mystisk och kylande attraktion.
Mausoleet startades den 4 september 1920 av Le Van Ba, och det tog 11 år att färdigställa. När de deltar i byggandet av graven finns det många kända hantverkare och hantverkare över hela landet som Phan Van Tanh, Nguyen Van Kha, Ky Duyet, Cuu Horn ... Franska guvernörer tillät honom att höja 30 % skatt över hela landet och använda de pengarna för att göra mausoleer. Denna handling av Khai Dinh har fördömts hårt av historien.
Thuy Xuan rökelsebyn går tillbaka till 700 år sedan under familjen Nguyen i centrala Vietnam. Tidigare levererade byn rökelse till det kungliga hovet och lokalbefolkningen i området Thuan Hoa - Phu Xuan. Vid den här tiden tillverkades rökelsestavarna i endast två grundfärger, brunt och rött. Nu, tack vare sin kreativitet, har Thuy Xuan byborna rökelsepinnar i en regnbåge av färger. När de placeras tillsammans ser kluster av rökelser ut som färgglada blommor i full blom. Rökelsestavarna i Thuy Xuan Village produceras i olika aromer, som kanel, citronella, jasmin, men det är agar-trä som gör byns namn.
Du kan välja THIEN MU PAGODA istället för TU HIEU PAGODA (BEKRÄFTA INNAN AVRESA). Detta var hus för boende och plats efter liv för eunucker från Nguyendynastin. Pagoden är också känd som Rottemplet och är ett av de största templen, en kulturell och historisk plats för Hue Ancient Capital City i Vietnam. Detta är en plats Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh - en global andlig Ledare, poet och fredsaktivist, vördad runt om i världen för sina banbrytande läror om mindfulness, global etik och fred, lever efter att ha återvänt till Vietnam från USA.
Vong Canh Hill brukade vara platsen där Nguyen-kungarna valde att ta en vila och sightseeing. Runt kullen finns ett system av gravar av Nguyen-kungar som: Dong Khanh-graven, Tu Duc-graven, Thieu Tri-graven, Xuong Tho-graven, Ba Cung-palatset,... Detta var också en armébas för den amerikanska armén under Vietnamkriget, och det finns fortfarande några armébunkrar kvar här.
Tiger Elephant Arena (vietnamesiska: Hổ Quyền) är en relik i de antika ruinerna av Hue, belägen i Truong Da-byn, Thuy Bieu-avdelningen, staden Hue. Denna plats var ett tigeruppfödningsfall och en unik arena som inte kan hittas någonstans i världen. Under Nguyen-dynastin var detta arenan för dödskriget mellan elefanter och tigrar för att offra till festivalen och tjäna kungen, mandarinernas och folkets underhållning.
Du kan välja THIEN MU PAGODA istället för TU HIEU PAGODA (BEKRÄFTA INNAN AVRESA). Thien Mu-pagoden är utan tvekan den mest välkända pagoden i Hue. IT kännetecknas av sin antika arkitektur, helighet och mytologi som innehåller många hemliga historiska berättelser.
Vi har ca 30 minuter cruising på Parfym floden kommer att passera Citadellet (inget stopp för att besöka) tillbaka till centrum, där vår guide och chaufför kommer att välkomna dig igen och köra dig tillbaka till ditt hotell. Vi avslutar vår fantastiska motorcykeltur i Hue City.

This was the best tour of Vietnam for our family with three older teenagers- 20 , 18 & 15. Motorbiking through the back country roads of Hue seeing sites only accessible by bike and learning so much about the Vietnam history was a real and authentic experience for us all . My advice - start early to avoid the heat . Do two tombs and do the Royal Palace the next day as it gets hot . 10/10 !!! Thank you . Lots of so many memories and amazing photos.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an incredible way to experience Hue! Our family spent the day exploring the city on the back of motorbikes with our fantastic guide, Tom, and four other friendly, professional riders. It was easily one of the highlights of our Vietnam trip. 🛵🇻🇳 We visited the magnificent tombs of Emperor Minh Mạng and Emperor Khải Định, and Tom brought their fascinating histories to life. The contrast between the two was remarkable. Minh Mạng’s tomb blends beautifully with nature, reflecting traditional Vietnamese design and harmony, while Khải Định’s tomb is an extravagant masterpiece incorporating imported glass, steel and cement from Europe and Asia. Learning that its construction required around 10,000 workers to excavate the surrounding lakes and canals, and that taxes were reportedly increased by 20% to fund the project, really highlighted the immense scale and ambition behind it. We also wandered through bustling local markets where fresh meat, seafood and vegetables are prepared and sold in the open air—a fascinating glimpse into everyday Vietnamese life. Watching artisans hand-roll colourful incense sticks and seeing the famous conical hats being made by hand gave us an even greater appreciation of the country’s traditions and craftsmanship. Another highlight was visiting the beautiful Thiên Mụ Pagoda, Hue’s iconic seven-storey pagoda overlooking the Perfume River. The peaceful grounds, ancient temples, bonsai gardens and giant bronze bell created a wonderful contrast to the busy streets. Tom explained the spiritual significance of the site, including its connection to the compassionate female Bodhisattva, making the visit even more meaningful. The relaxing dragon boat cruise along the Perfume River was the perfect way to slow the pace. Floating past riverside villages, fishermen, temples and lush greenery offered a different perspective of Hue and a chance to appreciate why the river has played such an important role in the city’s history for centuries. 🚤🌿 What truly set this tour apart was Tom’s incredible knowledge. He didn’t just point out landmarks—he explained the history behind them in an engaging and balanced way. From Vietnam’s emperors to French colonisation, the Japanese occupation during World War II, the Vietnam War, the spread of communism and the country’s remarkable transformation into modern Vietnam, every stop became a history lesson that was both fascinating and thought-provoking. The entire team made us feel safe, relaxed and welcome throughout the day. Their riding was professional, the pace was perfect, and they happily answered every question we had. If you’re visiting Hue, don’t hesitate—this motorbike tour is an absolute must. It’s the perfect combination of history, culture, local life and breathtaking scenery. Highly recommended! 🛵🏯🌸🇻🇳
We took a motorbike tour in Hue with Tom, and it was truly an exceptional experience. Tom was excellent in telling us the history of the city and its 13 kings, turning the tour into an extremely interesting and engaging cultural moment. His historical knowledge is impressive: he explained every detail with great precision, clarity, and passion. What impressed us the most was his incredible memory, combined with the ability to make even the most complex historical aspects simple and understandable. Tom is not only a very professional guide, but also a person who truly conveys a love for the history and culture of Hue. A truly exceptional morning with Tom: much more than just a simple guided tour. He took us on a motorcycle between the Tiger Arena and the American bunker, clearly explaining the historical and human context of each place, without ever making us feel like we were facing a "memorized" explanation. We then visited the imperial tombs of Minh Mạng, Tự Đức, and Đồng Khánh: Tom was excellent in helping us understand not only the architectural differences but also the personalities of the emperors, their stories, and the cultural significance of every detail. The visit to the Thiên Mụ pagoda and the return to the city on the Dragon Boat made the experience even more complete and evocative. Tom has a rare talent for storytelling: he connects history, Vietnamese culture, anecdotes, and daily life in an engaging way, truly immersing you in the spirit of Huế. Prepared, kind, entertaining, and very attentive to us throughout the day. 10/10 without a doubt: I would recommend this tour and especially Tom to anyone who wants to truly understand Vietnam, not just see monuments.
We are a family of 4 coming from France and went around with our guide Hung. We went on a scooter tour and really didn't regret it, we think it's definitely worth it than doing it by car. The drive was really very safe and comfortable and we could go through beautiful paths not accessible by car, the view was very beautiful. These are scooter rides in 10 minute increments. The tour was very well organized. We loved our guide who spoke very good English and who explained the history of his country in a very clear and captivating way. He was very flexible and allowed us to see a lot despite the short time we had in Hue. We can definitely say that this tour was our favorite of Vietnam, we recommend it 100%, again thank you!
Binh was our tour guide and we had an additional driver called Viet. Binh is a local, and shared lots of information with us about Hue, the Nguyen Dynasty, culture and history. He was very friendly and cpuld answer all of our questions. Thanks to him, we have many beautiful photos of the landscape around Hue. They were also both great drivers and very safe The online description and activities for the tour were accurate. We especially enjoyed the tombs, pagoda, the tiger arena and scenic park. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a great experience on a bike around Hue
Tommy and his team of motorcycle drivers were punctual, professional and friendly. Tommy was knowledgeable and spoke English well. We have two children aged 9 and 11 and they really enjoyed the motorbikes. A great way to see all the historical sites of Hue. Tommy and his team were flexible and we could tailor the tour to what we wanted to see.

Highly recommend this tour. Do you want to feel like a local? Then choose the scooter option. Got picked up at the hotel by my guide. Easy to get to the different locations with the scooter and save riding. There’s a good mix of famous and hidden places you get to see. Moreover there is the option of customizing your trip with three choosable options. Learned a lot about the history of the visited places. My guide Nhi was very helpful and happy to answer all my question with good English. Would definitely book again.
