Efter en naturskön 50 minuters bilresa stannar vi vid en traditionell pre-spansk provningsplats, där du provar lokal kakao, kaffe och mezcal samtidigt som du upptäcker hur handgjorda tortillas tillverkas. Detta är bara en uppvärmning för dagens höjdpunkt: vattenfallen. Vårt huvudmål är en fantastisk uppsättning vattenfall, där kristallklart vatten och frodiga omgivningar inbjuder dig att simma, koppla av och känna den uppfriskande kraften i huvudkaskaden. På den övre nivån ger gömda grottor en känsla av mystik till äventyret. För spänningssökare, njut av spänningen i en zipline ride. Efter äventyret beger vi oss till Finca la Gloria, där du avnjuter en äkta oaxacansk måltid med svart mullvad med kyckling, bönor, carnitas och handgjorda tortillas. För att avsluta dagen reser vi tillbaka genom Sierras djungel, omgiven av rik flora och fauna, hela vägen till ditt hotell. Med hisnande landskap och spännande aktiviteter lovar denna upplevelse att bli verkligt oförglömlig.

Lev magin med oss för att njuta av Sierra Madre del Sur de Oaxaca, en av de rikaste i världen när det gäller flora och fauna och där de bästa kaffebönorna odlas. Detta underbara äventyr börjar från Huatulco-vikarna och på väg till befolkningen i Llano Grande, ett samhälle som ligger i bergen. Resan på cirka 1 timme och 45 minuter tar oss genom grusvägar, där vi kommer att uppskatta djungelns färger och ljud och känna en känsla av lugn när vi ansluter till naturen. Vid ankomsten till kaffegården startar vi en vandring längs en stig som följer floden, där vi kan stanna för att ta vackra bilder och observera små vattenfall som bildar vackra vattenpölar, perfekta för att svalka oss. När vi når huvudvattenfallet kommer vi att tillbringa cirka 1 och en halv timme med att njuta av vattnet. Efter att ha njutit av vattnet kommer vi tillbaka till gården för att äta en traditionell Oaxacan-måltid, som svart mullvad, svarta bönor, fläskcarnitas.

Oscar helped us choose the right tour and made sure we understand what to expect. The waterfalls were so magical and an experience we will never forget. The local food was so authentic. The whole experience, including our personal driver was outstanding. Just be prepared that you do experience along a winding road up a mountain to get to the waterfalls overall I’d highly recommend it , gracious Oscar you are awesome!

Very pretty waterfalls. Easy access but not for those that might have mobility problems. The drive is 1.5 hours with 30 minute over a very rough road. Our driver was excellent. The lunch was good and plentiful. Overall a positive experience.

We met Valentino (+52 958 589 2015) on the beach at Secrets. After talking to him for a while, we hired him to take us to the waterfalls in the mountains. The drive is amazing. You go through small villages, and see how some of the locals live. Most of the road is windy and paved. The last 5 km is dirt and very rough. We stopped at a coffee plantation. At the end of the road Valentino took us into where we would be having lunch, which used to be a coffee plantation, along with all of the machinery needed to process coffee. There were clean bathrooms, and a gift shop [ of course]. We then proceeded to the falls. There is an entry fee [ not included in tour] of 100 pesos. They village uses that money to maintain the walkways, change rooms and bathrooms. [very clean, but no seat on the flushing toilet] The walk to the falls is less than five minutes. The water is crystal clear, and very refreshing. My wife and I swam in three of the pools, and I managed to get under two of the waterfalls. After an hour or so in the water it was back to have lunch. It was fantastic. We had chicken, and pork, with salad, and a lot of sauces that I don't remember the names of. The mole was the best I have ever had. After a bathroom break we were on our way back to Secrets. Valentino stopped to get some small bananas for his grandchildren. We each had one. I is hard to go back to the one we have at home. A little background on Valentino Garcia Ortiz. He is in his mid sixties, and has be doing guiding foe about 50 years. His English is excellent. He has two boats for fishing and tours, as well as the van. His kids were running the boat when we were there. He was one of the founders of the recycle program in Huatulco many years ago. He was on the city council for three years in the early 2020's.

The experience was great - but definitely NOT for anyone with mobility issues or who gets carsick. Also note that this price is only for the van & an excellent guide - EVERYTHING else is extra. Rates for all the activities quoted in the confirmation message the day before departure were also NOT accurate. So be sure to bring extra PESOS & NOT $US

Road was steep and windy in some places so got a bit motion sick - otherwise great experience!

We loved this tour! The waterfalls are beautiful to look at but also to swim in. Afterwards you get to visit a small farming community for a really tasty lunch and sample coffee and chocolates. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Huatulco.

From pickup to drop off our tour guide Victor went beyond expectations just as he did on our previous tour (7 bays snorkeling tour) and the group we were with made the trip so much more enjoyable. It was a fantastic experience! Rains made the currents strong and guides helped everyone navigate the waters well. The food and coffee was a truly great experience as well. It was the meal that practically never ended and gave us the local flavor we wanted to experience. I would go on this trip all over again and enjoy it just the same!
