Wear cool clothing, and bring water. The air conditioning is being repaired. Also you need to respect the rules of the Sistine Chapel - “no photos” means no photos. We had Mario as our tour guide and he was the best!! So knowledgable and was able to answer all our questions. Mario kept us entertained while teaching us the history of the Vatican City.

We had an excellent experience with What a Life Tours on their private Vatican tour. Our guide, Jeb, was friendly, engaging, incredibly knowledgeable, and easy to follow throughout the entire 3.5-hour tour. Being able to bypass the long ticket and security lines was a huge benefit, and our group of about 9–10 people felt like the perfect size. This tour was a wonderful way to experience so much in just a few hours! Our tour guide, Mario, was incredibly knowledgeable and presented information in a fun and engaging way for our entire family, which included our 12 and 14-year-old sons. The directions to the meeting point were easy and clear! In the office, the people were friendly and did a thorough mic check with the ear pieces before leaving.
