Följ med oss för en tidig morgonstart och slå folkmassorna till Bruny Island! Vi lämnar Hobart söderut, en naturskön 30 minuters bilresa tar oss till Kettering och färjeterminalen. Här har du möjlighet att köpa frukost, snacks eller lunchtillbehör som du kan behöva för den kommande dagen, sedan går vi ombord på färjan på väg till Bruny Island.
Vi börjar våra äventyr på ön med en spektakulär vandring som belyser det fantastiska kustlandskapet. Vi följer Cape Queen Elizabeth-leden. Vi fullföljer inte hela vandringen idag, vi går till Mars Bluff, Miles Beach, de unika klippformationerna och återvänder sedan. De första 30 - 40 minuterna av promenaden är en lätt promenad längs en bred, sandig stig som tar dig mot stranden genom kusthedar. Vi passerar mellan Stora Lagunen och Lilla Lagunen, hem för ett stort antal vattenfåglar. En 10 minuters uppförsbacke tar oss över Mars Bluff, där höjden ger en vacker utsikt över den omgivande kusten. Vi går ner på avlägsna Miles Beach och utforskar de unika klippformationerna. Vi har gott om tid att ta i denna underbara plats, fotografera Arch innan du återvänder tillbaka till början av leden. Vandringen vi genomför är totalt cirka 6 kilometer lång och klassas som lätt till medelsvår kustvandring.
Nästa stopp på vårt Bruny-äventyr är näset som förenar North och South Bruny Island - detta område är känt som The Neck och är platsen för Trugannini Lookout. Det finns 279 trappor till toppen där du kommer att bli väl belönad med fantastisk utsikt! Vi tar en stund här för att utforska och se pingvinhålorna bland sanddynerna.
Framåt från The Neck stannar vi för lite lokal historia vid Two Tree Point, Resolution Creek och Coal Point innan vi anländer till Adventure Bay. Adventure Bay är Bruny Islands huvudsakliga "hub" och platsen för vår lunchrast. Du kan koppla av på stranden med lite ledig tid och din egen lunch, eller så kan du gå med vår guide för lunch på Bruny Island Cruises Seafood Restaurant. Ett underbart läge vid stranden.
Vi omgrupperar oss efter lunch redo för en lugn eftermiddag och upptäcker Bruny Islands världsberömda hantverksprodukter. Vi gör stopp på Bruny Island Chocolate Company (prisbelönt chokladföretag som specialiserat sig på handgjorda gräddfudges, chokladprodukter),
Vårt nästa stopp tar oss till Bruny Island Honey där du kan njuta av gratis provningar av den naturliga honungen som produceras på ön och läcker honungsglass. Nästa provsmakning är Bruny Island Cheese Co. (hantverkare ostmakare och bryggare, inklusive provningar av källardörren) och Get Shucked Oyster Farm (producerar ostron i det rena vattnet i Great Bay). Efter en hel dag med landskap, skaldjur, stränder och läckra smaker på ön – återvänder vi till Hobart runt 17.00.
Vi stannar till vid Get Shucked Oysters där du kan köpa några take-away ostron.

Ben done a stirling job with great bush knowledge and made sure we were all well on our hike, great interaction with us all and a great day out!
Loved the hike to the rocks, they’re definitely worth seeing! Shops were okay but not necessary. We enjoyed them but would’ve loved if it was just the hike and exploring some more of the island. Matt was a great guide! Loved that he was relaxed and attentive to our needs. He was knowledgeable and very kind to us guests. He did a great job and we had a fantastic day.

Make sure you are fit if doing this tour. We chose wrong option however walked to sites and areas only available by foot. Heather was great. Includes 3hr hike.

The hike was amazing. Would have been better if most of the day was a hike and just minimal time food tasting as they were all $.

Loved the hike and seeing nature close up. Enjoyed the stops to taste local produce and enjoy the scenery. Small group easy and friendly. Our guide Heather was fantastic. She is knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and extremely patient. Highly recommend if you like to do more than just sit in a bus.

Heather was an amazing guide, she knew so much about the island but generally about Australia too it was a pleasure meeting her. The walk was wonderful, it was high tide so we had to go up a small mountain rather than the beach but it was still so worth it because we got a great view of the neck! I didn’t love that there are so many shop stops, for example if you’re not a drinker there’s not much else around the cheese and beer tasting so I was kind of just sitting around. It would be great if there was an option to do a second walk instead or something. But generally the timing of everything was pretty good!
