I just did this tour today. Excellent in all ways! I have been coming to the Bath area for more than 50 years and I learned so much new and interesting today. Meg has a wealth of knowledge about the history of this area and Maine overall. Very engaging and fun tour -- even on one of the hottest days of the summer!
Meg is outstanding. Knowledge and personality. You will be pleased. Don’t miss this.
Meg is a wonderful tour guide who has done her research on Bath. As a librarian, she is careful to reference her comments while adding current connections to the outstanding history of Bath. As a teacher, she has a very engaging and interactive style as well. Bath is full of historical tidbits that you will enjoy. It was one of the best tours we have ever taken. We highly recommend it!
We had a few days to enjoy Midcoast Maine, and our walking tour with Meg through Historic Bath was the absolute highlight. Meg brings the city’s history to life with warmth, insight, and a passion for storytelling. She makes learning genuinely fun and rewarding. My wife and I love local history, and this tour exceeded our expectations. Meg is just so, so good at what she does. Don’t miss this!
Meg is a fantastic guide. She's done her homework, and can tell you all about the architecture of Bath's historic homes, as well as the stories of the people who built and lived in them. We learned a lot and enjoyed it immensely!
I'm not a big history buff, but I found this tour educational and enlightening. Meg is a treasure trove of info, and while we focused of the women of Bath, she was happy to answer any other questions along the way. I never knew I had this much interesting history in my backyard!
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review! I like to say this tour has something for everyone - even those who don't consider themselves history buffs!
Meg's Women's History Tour of Bath was wonderful! What a perfect way for our family to honor Women's History Month. We had a lovely and warm spring day, and Meg was so knowledgable and kind. I want to come back for more of her tours. I especially appreciated Meg's insight into lesser-known women's histories and how they had a large impact on the history of Bath, Maine, and the US. Thank you, Meg!
Thank you so much for touring with us and your kind review! It means so much especially as we kick off the 2025 season in Maine. : )
Meg does a really nice job sharing the history and interesting locations of Bath Maine. She takes the time to learn about her audience and relates history to our interests, including the use of pictures. She is prompt, enthusiastic, friendly, thoughtful, and loves history, learning and sharing. I attended this tour after a full day at the maritime museum and was very glad I did.
Thank you, Jules! A trip to the Maine Maritime Museum is a perfect complement to my walking tours - while the museum focuses on Bath's maritime history, my tours help to bring the broader history of the city and people to life. We hope to welcome you back next time you're exploring Bath!
We had an excellent late afternoon tour with Meg, wandering down Washington Street in Bath as she shared her knowledge of the history and architecture of the city! Meg was wonderfully engaging, knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the Bath- everything you want in a tour guide! We hope to come back and attend another of her tours! Highly recommend!
Enjoyed the rich history and funny stories that Meg shared. She made history come alive. The architecture of houses in the area was diverse as well as those who designed or lived in them. Thanks Meg for a great walk.
