Denna turné görs av ett litet team av 4 historiker som vill göra människor medvetna om hur snabba saker kan förändras! Lär dig om Hitlers ursprung och tidiga år på en 2,5-timmars vandringstur i det historiska Wien. På denna turné kommer du att höra Österrikes och Europas historia från 1900 till 1955. Utöver din guide hittar du svaret på följande frågor: Hur blev en österrikisk vykortskärm till världens mest hatade man? Var kunde Hitler och Stalin träffas? Dessutom kommer du att se ärren från andra världskriget och besöka den enda synagogan för att överleva Förintelsen. Ta en djupare titt på de mörkaste dagarna i Wiens historia.

Den 25 maj 1869 firades invigningen i närvaro av kejsar Franz Joseph och kejsarinnan Elisabeth med en uruppförande av Don Juan av Mozart. Men än efter 1938 förändrades allt, inklusive kulturlivet i Wien. Efter "Anschluss" i Österrike besökte Adolf Hitler Statsoperan den 19 juni och 27 oktober 1938. Under nationalsocialismens period avgick, förföljdes och mördades konstnärer och anställda. För flera verk rådde framförandeförbud.
Minnesmärket mot krig och fascism är ett verk av den österrikiske skulptören Alfred Hrdlicka. Den har stått sedan 1988 på Wiens Albertinaplatz - uppkallad efter Helmut Zilk 2009. Minnesmärket är tänkt att tjäna som en påminnelse om den mörkaste eran i Österrikes historia. Den är tillägnad alla offer för krig och fascism.
Konstskola som inte accepterade Hitler som student
Heldenplatz den 15 mars 1938 Hitlers tal från balkongen i Neue Hofburg har blivit symbolen för det nationalsocialistiska maktövertagandet och det breda godkännandet av det - och traumat "Heldenplatz" för Andra republiken.

"Seitenstettentempel" är gömt bakom ett hyreshus. Wiens huvudsynagoga är belägen på Seitenstettengasse 4. Enligt de bestämmelser som gällde då måste icke-katolska gudstjänstlokaler vara dolda och kunde inte vara synliga från gatan. Därför står synagogan bakom ett femvånings hyreshus. Ovanför gatubyggnadens ingångsport finns inskriptionen: "Kom till hans portar med tacksägelse, till hans förgårdar med lovsång!" på denna turné kommer du att besöka andra platser, vi har precis lagt till för att lista de viktigaste attraktionerna.

It was an extremely hot day. Tour started at 2:30p. We were a little worried about how this was going to work because it is a walking tour. Ziggy our guide was wonderful! She walked us to the shade and indoor spaces when possible. She pointed out where we could get water. She was absolutely brilliant and passionate ate on the topic and delivered a thoughtful history lesson on the dark issues that everyone understood. We bumped into her on the street after the tour. She recognized us and we had another chat she even brought us to the cathedral to show us one more thing. I cannot say enough about this tour. One of our favorites.
Depending on weather it can be uncomfortable to be standing in the sun. Bring an umbrella. Also, you will be standing a long time.
Wonderful experience and very knowledgeable tour guide. She pointed the eating joints and way back in the end.
This was a very worthwhile tour with lots of background information, not just a rote list of places. We went where Hitler visited and also heard the historical background to his experiences in Austria inc his rejection as a painter and a visit to the art institute, the building where he gave his famous speech, and so on. We did this in sunny hot weather (30+ DegC) and Dieter took care to keep us in the shade as much as possible and also include short stops for restrooms and water. Small earpieces were provided so we could hear clearly without having to be right next to the guide. There was also a short mixup with location to meet and they called us to make sure we were in the right place (20meters away :-) TLDR; Highly Recommended.
The Historical Hitler walking tour in Vienna was very informative. Our tour guide was Wolfgang and he did a great job diving into the rise of Nazism and antisemitism in Vienna during WW2
Deter was so thorough with his history on the walk, very well spoken, easy to understand, liked the way he asked questions to the group. Also, always looked for shade, loved that!! I give him a 10 out of 10! Great experience!!

Dieter was phenomenal! He did a terrific job navigating the 27 person tour. His background as journalist and historian was unique and provided great additional context to the tour. Dieter was also respectful of history given sensitive topic. Highly recommend this tour!! My husband - a history buff - absolutely loved it!

Really enjoyed his tour, learned a lot that can’t be found in history books. This tour gives history lovers an excellent insight not only into the events leading up to WW 2 but to the personality, early life and motivations of Hitler. Our guide, Stefan, was very knowledgeable, passionate about his subject and made historical events come to life. His observations regarding the "whys" of the Third Reich and the ascension of Hitler were spot on. This tour will make you think and consider how the past relates to the present and the future of our world. An afternoon to remember.
