This was the best investment in our trip that we could have made. Jochen was an incredible guide! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our tour. We never would have had the in-depth experience we had without this tour. It truly gave us insight into Berlin. I was incredibly impressed with his extensive knowledge of art, history, and Berlin. The tour was wonderful. His attention to detail is amazing. He even ensured we had time to stop and grab water and use the restroom. I cannot recommend this tour enough.
Jochen was our guide and we had such an amazing time! He was so knowledgeable and thorough, and he clearly is so passionate about his city! My husband and I took several tours during our trip through Europe, and Jochen was hands down the best guide we had. We joined his semi-private Third Reich, Hitler, and Cold War Berlin City walking tour, and what impressed me most was his ability to present such a complex and difficult period of history in a thoughtful, balanced, and engaging way. He clearly has an incredible depth of knowledge, but he never felt like he was simply reciting facts. Instead, he connected historical events, places, and people in a way that made the history feel real and relevant. As someone who loves history and has taken many guided tours over the years, I appreciated how he encouraged questions and discussion while providing historical context that went far beyond what you would learn from guidebooks alone. The tour was one of the highlights of our time in Berlin, and I left with a much deeper understanding of history and the lasting impact it continues to have on Germany today.
