Hidden Treasures of Addis Abeba - Tour, Food, Culture and History

Beskrivning

Anteneh was an amazing and informative guide. We loved his tour so much that we did another tour with him three days later. We also loved that one!
Stumbling upon Anteneh was truly a breath of fresh air during my stay in Ethopia. I had started to become a bit apprehensive with other tour guides and their hidden fees but I fortunately met this hospitable and knowledgeable guy who showed me the best of Addis Ababa and surrounding areas. Completely transparent, he kindly proposed different experiences around the city and made sure to get me the very best price for every small excursion. Addis ababa can be confusing so please safe yourself the hassle of contacting a bunch of potentially greedy tour companoes and start with this kindhearted guy for your planning.
I went Ethiopia on the end of June.Anteneh organized my trip and everything went smooth,he did excelent job so I highly recommend him and his team ! I visited the Simien and Danakil by him.The experience amazed me and their services too ! No doubt if I visit again only with Anteneh !
I had a great day on this tour with Anteneh. I found the museum very interesting, the guide there gave a good explanation. I also liked walking in the market, lots of things to see going on. The stop at the juice bar there was also good.
What a great and informative city tour through Addis Abba! Anteneh was an amazing person to show us the city. He is very respectful, truly caring and very knowledgeable. We learned so much and experienced Addis Ababa from a side that you usually don’t see. It ranged from witnessing an Injera baking session to a traditional coffee ceremony and seeing the lively Mercato Market from the top and its hidden, very local places from the ground. We even went to a Permaculture garden in a museum with a small urban farm, a calm island in the noisy city. Thank you so much, Anteneh! Hope to see you again and then to take a tour outside of the capital to see more of Ethiopia.
This was a great day tour of Addis Ababa! The guide Anteneh was very flexible with my pickup/start time, which I appreciated. The best part was that this ended up being a city tour plus food tour, which I wasn’t even expecting! I got so much food during this tour — breakfast, coffee, lunch, coffee ceremony, and fruit smoothie. The lunch at Addis Ababa restaurant was one of my favorites of my entire trip — it was so good! And the coffee ceremony was also the best one I experienced all trip — I loved that they walked you through every step and also give you the rue, which completely changes the flavor of the coffee in the best way. The fruit smoothie at the end was an unexpected treat. It was so nice to get to see the city while experiencing delicious local foods and drinks! Highly recommend this tour!!
It was amazing introduction of Ethiopia with the guide, Abiy and Miko, driver.
I can highly recommend Anteneh as a guide in Ethiopia. He is an exceptionally kind, warm, and above all honest person. It is particularly worth highlighting that he was always reachable and consistently took care of all requests quickly. He always made an effort to accommodate additional wishes and showed remarkable flexibility and dedication. Even in often challenging situations in the country, he repeatedly found ways to make everything work so that we could continue our journey. His positive attitude and commitment greatly enriched the trip. Thank you very much for the excellent support!
I booked the tour at very short notice. Nevertheless, Anateh (as a guide) and Miki (as a driver) made the stopover in Addis Ababa something special. Both were always friendly, flexible and accommodating. It was super exciting to discover lesser-known places in addition to the famous “Lucy” and “Merkato”! Would definitely come back!
I recently went on a full day tour with Pure Love Ethiopia and I am happy to say that my expectations have been fully met. My guide Wonde was very competent, professional and friendly and answered all my questions. I was the only participant that day, and Mule made a real effort to respond to my interests. We had lively conversations about Ethiopian culture and history. The food was also a highlight, because I could taste dishes I would never have known otherwise. The full-day tour is a great way to get to know Addis Ababa in a short time!
