Upplev den berömda konsten och hantverket i Puducherry genom att gå runt husen och den lilla delen av byn Puducherry, utforska den rika konsten, observera noggrant off beat-museet, butiker, gallerier som visar upp hantverk etc.

Vi vill inte spilla bönor och döda spänningen, så kom på den här vandringsturen och utforska stadens pärlor som du lätt skulle missa om du utforskar staden på egen hand. Även om höjdpunkterna på turnén kommer att följa 1. École Française d'Extrême-Orient – kulturarvsbyggnad och bibliotek är hem för över 11 000 indologiböcker och en serie sanskrit-, tamil- och manuskript från Manipravalam-palmblad. 2. En broderi-entre inrymd i en fantastisk byggnad från 1700-talet och drivs av ett lokalt kloster och stödjer underprivilegierade kvinnor. 3. En gränd med gamla kaféer, hus byggda i fransk arkitektur, livliga marknader i Pondy. 4. Gamla gränder, hus, slingrande gator och Academy of Western Music 5. Bharati Park - de grönaste attraktionerna i Pondicherry tillsammans med viktiga regeringsbyggnader i Pondicherry omger denna park. 6. Ett livligt hinduiskt tempel känt för sina elefantvälsignelser, utsmyckade snidade stenväggar och gyllene vagn. 7. Ett franskt krigsminnesmärke och Pondicherry Beach

I signed up for a guided walking tour of Pondicherry offered at The Café (the old building on the stone beach). They asked for 700 rupees per person, but since there was only one other person, we were told that 800, because the minimum was 4. Theoretically it was supposed to last 2 hours but in 40 minutes I finish and the explanations were scarce and bad. A total scam.
A nice excursion that gave a lot of information. The guide was very nice and spoke good English. White town is worth seeing.
Pachaippan our tour guide was great. We could not make original date but he was very helpful & offered us a new slot. He turned up on time & was our perfect guide as we covered a lot of ground/places but we didn’t spend too long in any one location very informative & we learnt a lot about Puducherry. Would recommend.
Guide was clueless. It was terrible and ended in 40minutes . It was a complete waste of time and money. There was no set route or plan and guide seemed extremely disinterested. We had to literally dig information by asking questions to salvage our time
Pondicherry is a place where I would like to settle permanently in future. Have been there many times. Highly recommend going there.
The walking tour that we all looked forward to did not go well. The guide Neerajkumar was helpful and pleasant and even adjusted his time to accommodate us. But he did not know anything about Pondicherry and the sites. The history or significance of the place.
Manoj our guide was the best and was able to provide the historical significance that made the trip memorable.
