Ge dig ut på ett äventyr genom det mest berömda regnbågsberget, "the Vinicunca", och utforska det mest imponerande naturliga underverket i Cusco: - Utforska Vilcanota-bergen och upptäck dess färgglada dalar, snötäckta toppar och massor av alpackor. - Lär känna den lokala kulturen i de traditionella byarna längs din resa. - Res med en professionell reseguide för ett unikt perspektiv på Rainbow Mountains historia och kulturella betydelse. Vandringen har en måttlig svårighetsgrad, vilket är anledningen till att du måste vara helt acklimatiserad innan du bestämmer dig för denna aktivitet.

Vi hämtar dig tidigt på morgonen från ditt hotell i Cusco. Det tar cirka 2,5 timmar att komma till Rainbow Mountain från Cusco. 30 minuter innan vi anländer till vandringens startpunkt äter vi frukost på en mysig restaurang mellan bergen.
Innan du börjar vandringen kommer våra guider att ge några användbara tips så att du kan gå säkert till toppen av berget. Vandringen kommer att starta på 4 800 meter över havet, varför vi behöver ta det lugnt och långsamt. Väl på toppen av berget kommer du att inse att allt det hårda arbetet har lönat sig! Våra guider kommer att förklara bergets ursprung och ger dig lite fritid så att du till fullo kan uppskatta detta naturliga underverk.
Efter en hel dag full av äventyr är det nu dags för en välförtjänt lunch. Det bör ta cirka 1,5 timme att vandra tillbaka till parkeringen. Vi har valt en restaurang där du kommer att kunna prova det bästa av det peruanska köket. När vi är klara med alla aktiviteter åker vi tillbaka till Cusco. Avlämning sker vid ditt boende.

It was a really good tour that I would highly recommend. They provide food before and after the hike which is really good cause you have to wake up early and then feel exhausted and hungry after the hike. The guide even provided us with walking sticks, which helped a lot. He offered to take pictures of two of us. However, the tour advertised that we will be picked up from our hotel, which didn't happen in our case. Although our hotel wasn't accessible by car, they could've chosen a closer pick-up location at least. Another slight issue was although we were given a meet-up spot, it was a huge square and we had to message the organisers for some time before they got back to us saying they'll be there in 2 mins, which was later than agreed.
Excellent guide, the vehicle was new. Overall very good.

It is a long 3+ hours trip from Cusco but once you get to the top of the mountain the views are awesome. I would highly recommend paying for a horse unless you’re under 30 and very fit. The altitude affect is significant

This is a must see even during rainy season! The coordination of transfers was seamless, there were horses for those who didn’t want to make the entire hike up and/or down, and the guide and driver took great care of us. The meals were also wonderful.
Ernesto made me feel welcome from the beginning. He was concerned for me during the trek and checked in with me several times. I appreciated his concern and professionalism. Our driver William was kind and very skilled. He was the first to greet me when I made it down the mountain!

Professor Roberto was extremely competent in teaching us about the general culture of the Incas, about the Andean region and about the Quechua language, in addition to being very friendly. The tour was great, very fun and the beautiful landscapes.
