Heldagsutflykt till Matanuska-glaciären för små grupper
Beskrivning
Matanuska-glaciären är den största och mest magnifika glaciären i Alaska med vägtillgång. Vi kör dig till inom cirka 1/2 mil från glaciärens yta, där vi börjar vår vandring. Vi ska vandra på glaciären i två till två och en halv timme och gå cirka 2 till 3 mil. Det är liten höjdförändring och vandringssvårigheten bedöms som måttlig. Glaciären ligger cirka två timmars bilresa från Anchorage. Vi stannar ungefär halvvägs där för en paus på toaletten, där du också kommer att ha möjlighet att köpa kaffe och vad du än skulle vilja ha att äta medan vi är ute. Vatten på flaska tillhandahålls.

Längs 2 timmars bilresa till glaciären är björn, älg, ugglor, örnar, rävar och piggsvin alla möjliga att se. Och längs vägen finns det också många vackra panoramabilder att ta.
Infödingarna i Alaska i Chickalon är en blandning av Ahtna och Dena'ina Athabaskan. Detta är en liten stad där vi kommer att se några butiker, kyrkor och hem.
Sutton är en liten stad som ligger på Glenn Highway mellan Palmer och Glennallen, och ett bekvämt ställe att fylla på bensin och snacks för besökare på väg till attraktioner som Matanuska Glacier och Sheep Mountain. På väg till Matanuska Glacier

Om du inte är på hotell kan vi möta dig i Fred Meyer-butiken på 1000 E Northern Lights i Anchorage, eller 13401 Old Glenn i Eagle River. The weather is good which makes the whole glacier look blue. It’s so beautiful. The guide is nice and very knowledgeable about the glacier. Highly recommended.

Long drive from Anchorage. Experience was good - it just wasn’t great. Van driver was erratic. Glacier guide was fantastic. Wet, cold day in July but we were on a glacier so seemed normal.
Honestly, the hike on the glacier itself was amazing! It was beautiful, and we had a super informative guide. Only thing that was t great was the van did not have any air and it was pretty hot and uncomfortable on the way home from the hike. Other than that, it was an amazing experience.

Glacier tours are absolutely stunning. You get to see massive ice formations, and the scenery is just breathtaking.
The tour was great! Ryan was very helpful and his Communication was awesome. They provided spikes and assisted with putting them on so no one slips on the ice. The hike could have been a little longer but overall very detailed and hands on from the guides.
The bus ride with Dan and the Glacier hike with our guide Izzaboo was so much fun! Hiking Matanuska was a surreal experience.
