Our tour of Luxor’s East and West Banks was absolutely incredible, and that’s entirely thanks to Emad and Tamer. Emad is a phenomenal guide. His knowledge is deep, but more importantly, he knows how to deliver it in a way that’s engaging, clear, and genuinely fascinating. From the Valley of the Kings to Karnak and Luxor Temples, every site felt meaningful because of the context and stories he shared. He struck the perfect balance between guiding and giving us space to explore, and his passion for Egypt’s history really comes through. Tamer, our driver, was equally outstanding. Navigating a full day across both sides of the Nile is no small task, but he made everything feel smooth, safe, and stress-free. Always punctual, professional, and friendly, he ensured we could just relax and enjoy the experience. Together, they made an amazing team and turned what could have been a long day into a seamless, memorable adventure. We booked this full day private tour Viator and had an amazing, personalised experience! Our guide Syed Gamal contacted us from the day before confirming all the details which was reassuring. We met him on the morning and he arrived promptly with a driver Ammar. The car was a new Chery Tiggo which was very comfortable for the day tour. Syed is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced. His depth of knowledge was amazing and there wasn't a question he couldn't answer. He spoke clearly and very easy to understand. It was hot and busy day but we didn't feel rushed and having an 8 year old with us they were very mindful as we had to take breaks. The lunch place was very nice also and overall had a great experience. Ammar drove very safely and we were dropped and picked up from each location at the entrance, no waiting around. Amazing experience start to finish!

Excellent tour, especially our guide Mr Sayed Gamal's knowledge with history is academic level and he knows many details that are not commonly known. He is also a compelling storyteller. A day well spent. Our driver Omar has also been very patient with us. Both of them have taken us to an extra monument on request as they were impressed by our historical curiosity.

We had a great trip with Sayed Amel, our guide and Amar, our driver. Sayed brought us straight to the most beautiful tombs in the Valley of the Kings, with all the tickets ready to go. It was well organised and Sayed was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about sharing his experience about the history of the pharaoh’s, as well as the tombs, land and symbolism - which only a guide can truly help you understand. The lunch was also incredible, really great quality food (some of the best we’d had in Luxor) and to top it all off Karnak temples and Luxor temple were particular highlights for us. In total we spent about 7 hours on the tour, including lunch, and a short stop at a local alabaster factory where we picked up some lovely gifts. Overall I’d really recommend this tour, Sayed was warm, welcoming and happy to answer all our questions.
