Letar du efter en dagstur utanför Addis Abeba? Att ta en resa till Wenchi Crater Lake är ett trevligt val för att tillbringa din helgsemester. Wenchi Crater Lake ligger 155 km väster om Addis Abeba, mellan Ambo och Weliso. En utdöd vulkan, vars övre del är 3380 meter över havet, är en krater som innehåller en stor sjö, varma mineralkällor, vattenfall, vackra dalar och jordbruksmark. Det finns ett gammalt kloster med en kyrka som ligger på en av sjööarna.

Vi kommer att köra västerut från Addis Abeba till sjön Wenchi Dess 155 km väster om Addis Abeba, på vägen till Ambo- och Welliso-vägen var denna sjö en utdöd vulkan (vars topp är 3380 meter över havet). Krateren innehåller en stor sjö, varma mineralkällor, vattenfall och vackra dalar och jordbruksmark och klostret Kirkos och den heta vårdalen. Gå tillbaka till Addis Abeba efter besöket. Senare kommer du att flyttas dit du vill för din avgång.

Ethio Travel and Tours were were friendly and professional to deal with and felt like a great local companion to help plan my Ethiopian experience. I had the same guide Biruk and driver Fakr for several tours and they were fantastic: capable, informative and friendly. Wonchi lake itself is beautiful and absolutely worth the trip out from Addis. The gorge walk particularly was some of the most beautiful scenery I've seen anywhere. Would thoroughly recommend Wonchi Lake and Ethio Travel and Tours
Very long drive. 4 hours there not 2 hrs. So 8 hours in total. The lake is beautiful but only there for around 2 hours including lunch. If the description had been accurate I would not have booked as 8 hours in a car is not fun in 1 day.
Albeit long the destination was worth the travail getting there. Took a boat ride on the lake to an island there. There was road construction on the way slowing our progress but hopefully future travelers will have smooth roads. On the way back we were stooped by military authorities who apparently were displeased by our speed of transport. After looking at our passports and hearing the driver's explanation that this was a tour we were given permission to continue back to Addis Ababa. I would live to add photos of my trip but my phone was stolen on my last day in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
The day trip to the lake Wonchi is amazing the lake was so beautiful and was really agreat place for refreshing. Ethio Travel and Tours have done a wonderful job on this trip.
