Återigen visar naturen i staden Cusco oss en annan imponerande naturattraktion "Regnbågsbergskedjan Palccoyo" där vi kommer att njuta av regionens skönhet och färg, likaså kan vi uppskatta mångfalden av flora och fauna som visar oss denna vackra plats. Denna attraktion är relativt ny och många människor i regionen kände inte till denna regnbågskedja i Palccoyo, eftersom den tidigare var täckt av snö, vilket inte gjorde det möjligt att se dess färg; Men på grund av den globala uppvärmningen har snön försvunnit och nu med vår nya utflykt är det möjligt att besöka Palccoyo Rainbow Range (Combapata).
Vid ankomsten till Checacupe kommer vi att observera vägsystemets evolutionära process genom tre koloniala broar som ligger i samma stad Checacupe: Incan-bron, Colonial Bridge och den republikanska bron, du kan också se ett kolonialt tempel med fina sniderier i trä, bladguld och som inhyser målningarna av Cusco-skolan (Diego Quispe). När besöket av detta arkeologiska centrum är avslutat, kommer vi att åka till Rainbow Mountain Range of Palccoyo, som ligger 4 900 meter över havet.
Väl framme vid denna punkt börjar vi vår promenad på ca 40 minuter. Där vi kommer att uppskatta dalarna med eroderade glaciärer och de permiska formationerna av lysande färger som sticker ut bland de andra och som är bebodda av alpackor och lamor. Vi kan också uppskatta några samhällen och bönder som bor i de låga områdena av Rainbow Mountain Range of Palccoyo. Vi kommer också att uppskatta stenskogen Ccacca Loma och det röda berget. Vi fortsätter vår rundtur i Rainbow Mountain Range i Palccoyo, och vi åker till San Pedro för att njuta av en utsökt buffé lunch. Efter att ha njutit av vår lunch går vi till kretsen av de fyra lagunerna, där vi kommer att observera de olika sjöarna (Acopia, Pomacanchis, posposqo cocha, Misky cocha), här kommer vi att ha tillräckligt med tid för att observera variationen av fåglar och landskapet som omger oss.
Efter all denna vackra rundtur och efter att ha besökt Rainbow Mountain Range i Palccoyo, kommer vi tillbaka till staden Cusco och anländer ungefär 18:30.

We visited Mount Palccoyo and found a great alternative to Vinicunca. The trail is lighter, the colorful landscapes are beautiful and there are fewer people, which left the experience more peaceful and photogenic. We went in December and it was snow, but still it was beautiful. We recommend for those who want the view of the colorful mountains without the exhausting walk.

The tour starts very early type 3-4 am, how good you can sleep on the way, we breakfast in a very good buffet and then depart for the mountain. Here the height is the problem, you can walk up but it requires a lot of condition, the good thing is that there are horses that you can pay and for 90 suns they leave you 15-20 minutes from the top. Wear layered clothes as you can warm up when climbing. We already walk down and the road is much easier. On horseback you go up in 40 minutes, you are on the mountain an hour to take pictures and the return is about 1 hour or so. In the end we still had lunch in the same very rich buffet!
The experience was extraordinary. We booked for 12 people all tours with this agency and it was extraordinary from start to finish. On this particular tour of the colorful mountain, our driver was Ephraim and our guide Erick and we could not have had better people on this trip. They were extraordinary, we laughed a lot and Erick was always patient with us at all times. Not only do we recommend the Enterprise, but we also recommend Erick as a tour guide.

The rainbow mountains covered with snow for a few days, before we got there. The guide didn’t mention anything when we left early in the morning so we could not see anything.

What can we say about our experience in Peru? We can say it was fantastic, we learned much more than landscapes, history, culture and a lot of love for the profession. Our Guide Alex made us cry on the day of departure, as he is our main longing for Peru, through his eyes and knowledge we gained 1,000 years of studies and learned a little more about Inca culture. He presented us with Snow, something none of us imagined we would see. It was exciting. If you go to Peru, hire Machu Picchu Tours, and ask Alex as a Guide and Mr. Fernando as a Driver and of course the boy Giovani to take your photos.
