Ditt första stopp är Jama Masjid, Indiens största moské. Tillbringa lite tid med att gå runt den röda sandstensgården. Den byggdes 1656 med hjälp av 5000 arbetare. Det ligger framför det kungliga residenset "Red Fort", mitt i Chandni chowk.

Red Fort är en massiv struktur byggd av Shah Jahan mellan 1639-1648. Det fungerade som huvudbostad för Mughal-kejsarna. Arkitekturen i fortet återspeglar den indoislamiska och mogulstilen. Fantastiskt faktum är att den har en 2 km lång vägg som säkerligen kommer att imponera på någon.
Det sägs att år 1664 kom den åttonde sikhgurun för att besöka kungen och botade människor som drabbats av smittkoppor och koleraepidemi genom att dela ut dem vatten från tanken. Den vattentanken, som används av gurun, finns fortfarande kvar i gurudwaran och tros ha medicinska egenskaper.
"Den okände soldatens grav" från 1921 har namn på 13 300 indiska armésoldater inristade på väggen som dog under första världskriget.
Parliament House (Pass By): Efter att ha sett India Gate kommer du också att köra förbi Parliament House. Du kan ta bilder och fortsätta till ditt nästa monument.
Det är en UNESCO: s världsarvslista och det är Indiens första trädgårdsgrav. Det enda syftet med Humayuns fru var att bygga denna grav efter hans död.
Det är den högsta minareten som byggdes upp 1192 med tegelstenar. Det är också en del av UNESCO:s världsarvslista, som ligger i Mehrauli. Området runt är känt som Qutub-komplexet.
Detta blir ditt sista stopp i Delhi. Lotustemplet är ett Bahá'í-hus för tillbedjan som invigdes i december 1986. Det har blivit en framstående attraktion i staden, känd för sin blomliknande form.

Had a day in Delhi and wanted to see some of the sites in the city. Excellent private tour to all the most important historical sites in the city including the Red Fort, India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar. Highly recommend this tour which included lunch at a local place in Delhi for authentic Indian cuisine. Excellent accommodations and tour guide!
