Longji Terraced Fields Scenic Area har en yta på 70,1 kvadratkilometer. Som en del av det ligger Ping'an Zhuang Terraced Fields Spot i byn Ping'an. Det finns 190 familjer med en befolkning på mer än 700 personer. Alla invånare är Zhuang-minoriteter, med samma efternamn som Liao. Höjden här är från 380 meter till 880 meter över havet. Här är två utsiktspunkter: "Nio drakar och fem tigrar", vilket betyder de nio drakliknande tendensbergen som sträckte sig från toppen ner till Jinjiangfloden (den gyllene floden), och smakade på det fina vattnet. På motsatta sidan ser de fem kullarna ut som fem tigrar som sitter på huk där som landets väktare. Terrasserna odlades i linjer, av vilka några är som kedjor, medan de andra är som bälten, som bildar en form av sniglar eller torn. I havet av terrasser finns det 15 862 bitar av fält, som alla är i olika former och storlekar.

We had a wonderful trip with David to the Longji Rice Fields. The scenery was spectacular and David worked very hard to make sure we had a terrific time. We had lunch at a local noodle shop and we even got to go tea picking!

It was expected that the journey would be long, but the stay was then too short and only two closely spaced lookouts were hiked.

The full day tour to the Longji rice terraces had been very nice. The scenery is really impressive. Not many Chinese tourists have been there in November either, which also made the tour enjoyable. Can highly recommend the tour. Everything worked out well and we also watched a sunset in the evening.

This was a wonderful tour that I did one-on-one with my guide, Daniel. He took his time to explain the history of the rice terraces, discuss the history of tea in the region while allowing us time to actually sip the tea with a local, and when we had some extra time, he took me to explore other parts of the area, including a Yao village and the hair museum. I really learned so much from him, and would gladly do a tour with him again.
