Heldagstur i Sacred Valley från Cusco

Inkadalens heliga dal är en plats full av gamla inkaruiner. De mest imponerande är Pisac och Ollantaytambo. Båda strukturerna är byggda med enorma stenblock. Denna tur går också till Maras saltgruvor och den arkeologiska platsen Moray.

Vi hämtar dig från ditt hotell kl. 06.40. Vi kommer att lämna Cusco vid 07:00. Vårt första stopp blir staden Chinchero. Här kommer vi att besöka den arkeologiska platsen Chinchero.
Därefter kommer vi om 25 minuter fram till det arkeologiska komplexet i Moray. Moray har flera cirkulära jordbruksterrasser. Enligt vissa historiker användes dessa strukturer av inkafolket för att odla växter från varmare klimat.
Vårt nästa stopp blir Maras Salt Mines, som ligger 25 minuter från Moray. Saltgruvorna innehåller dussintals fyrkantiga brunnar med saltvatten. Dessa brunnar är fyllda med saltvatten som kommer från underjorden. Efter att ha blivit utsatt för solljus avdunstar vattnet och lämnar saltet kvar. Sedan samlas saltet av lokalbefolkningen och säljs på den lokala marknaden.
Efter att ha utforskat Maras saltgruvor kör vi till staden Urubamba. Urubamba ligger i den lägsta delen av den heliga dalen, så klimatet är lite varmare. Vi kommer att äta lunchbuffé här. Efter lunch besöker vi det arkeologiska komplexet Ollantaytambo.
Vi lämnar Urubamba efter lunch och om 30 minuter är vi i staden och den arkeologiska parken Ollantaytambo. Ollantaytambo är känt för sina långa stentrappor, som leder till komplexets huvudområde. Liksom Pisac var Ollantaytambo ett kungligt inkapalats. Vi kommer också att besöka staden Ollantaytambo, där du kommer att kunna köpa några souvenirer.
Efter att ha utforskat Ollantaytambo tar transporten oss i 1 timme och 30 minuter till staden och det arkeologiska komplexet Pisac, som ligger i den heliga dalen. Staden Pisac är en mysig by som ligger intill floden Urubamba. Den har en traditionell marknad där du kan köpa souvenirer och smaka på den lokala maten. Å andra sidan ligger det arkeologiska komplexet i Pisac på en närliggande kulle. Den består av många stenbyggnader som var inkaadelns hus. Efter att ha utforskat denna vackra plats återvänder vi till Cusco stad, där vi kommer att anlända runt 19:00.

Our tour to scared valley was fantastic! We made about 7 stops, it was a long day but all worth it. Out tour guide Leo was amazing very knowledgeable, did a fantastic job explaining in detail. And he was a great human being really showed us amazing hospitality.

Tour was ok. Lunch was terrible and everything that was supposed to be hot was cold. And music and noise very loud.

This tour took you to all the sites it listed, but time at the historically and archaeologically significant sites were sacrificed at the expense of trying to rip tourists off. At every opportunity, we were taken to a vendor who could play tricks to take tourists money, while only being given 10 minutes to explore each historic site actually advertised as part of the tour. English was presented on this tour as an after thought, with long complex descriptions and discussions had in Spanish and then a very concise description provided in English.

We would like to explain that nowadays, near several archaeological sites such as Chinchero, Moray, Maras Salt Mines, and Pisac, local communities and residents offer their handicrafts and traditional products as part of their culture and daily livelihood. Our agency does not own or operate any shops or sales stands. During the tour, we only make a brief stop in Chinchero, where local people demonstrate the traditional Andean weaving and spinning process, and another short stop in Pisac, where visitors receive an explanation about local jewelry and handicrafts. We completely understand your point of view and are very sorry that you felt the time spent at some archaeological sites was too limited. Your comments are very important to us, as they help us continue improving and providing a more balanced and enjoyable experience for all our visitors. We had an amazing experience on this tour! Andy was a fantastic guide - super fun, engaging, and incredibly informative. He shared so much about Inca history and culture, and we learned a lot throughout the day. Everything was very well organized, with timely pickup and drop-off, and great communication from start to finish. The sites we visited were absolutely stunning, and each stop felt worthwhile. One of the highlights was a stop at a baby alpaca shop, where they walk you through the entire process of how the products are made and dyed. It was really interesting, and you also have the option to purchase items if you’d like. We did the full tour, including the final stop in Pisac, which was beautiful and definitely worth it. Just a heads-up: some people in our group chose to end their tour early at Ollantaytambo to catch their train to Machu Picchu, so that’s an option if you coordinate ahead of time. Highly recommend this tour!

Loved it. Jimi was an awesome guide, very knowledgeable. We hit Pisaq, which was my favorite, Ollantaytambo & those ruins were amazing. It was my birthday & at lunch they had the restaurant make it a whole thing, which was sweet. We also hit the salt mines, & lots of other places, too many to remember. Overall great experience

This was a wonderful tour. We learned and saw so much. Our driver was kind and proficient. Our guide was knowledgeable and kind. It was easy to arrange and such a cool tour. The stops were all amazing.

The tour guide is good, we did visit all the spots, but it's too short for some of sites such as Pisac, pretty much didn't get to see much at Pisac. You might need to do that separately. The only major complain I have is that they take you to shopping sites... there were 3 spots we stopped for shopping, which did not mention in the details.

Very good experience, the guide explained the places we visited, they gave us enough time to take the photos and appreciate the landscape, my children of 11 and 12 years were happy and entertained, my wife and I enjoyed the family day taking our children to know in a safe and didactic way the history of the Sacred Valley of Cusco.
