De hisnande skulpturerna på kyrkogården i Recoleta visar den rika historien om detta vackra land. Många av de mest inflytelserika och kontroversiella personerna i Argentinas historia har sin sista viloplats här, inklusive dess mest kända första dam, Evita. Lär dig hemligheterna och berättelserna bakom skulpturerna. Du kommer att tas till de vackraste och ofta missade verk i denna privata rundtur. Denna historiska kyrkogård är ett måste att se. Här får du snart se hur Buenos Aires fick sitt smeknamn ”Sydamerikas Paris”. Den här stadsdelen är hem till många av stadens lyxigaste palats, hem, kaféer och high-end shopping. Vi kommer att promenera ner några av de mest exklusiva och vackra gatorna i staden, uppskattar den rika arkitektur, historia och charm.
360 vyer av historisk arkitektonisk excellens finns i överflöd. Retiro tågstation, British Tower, Kavanaugh Building (stadens första skyskrapa och utmärkta exempel på "rationalistisk arkitektur"), Palacios San Martin & Paz - alla är inom synhåll från Plaza som är uppkallad för att hedra Argentinas mest hyllade hjälte, Jose San Martin. Härifrån tar vi tunnelbanan - ett konstverk i sig självt - till vår nästa destination.
Obelisco är centrum för 9 de Julio, den bredaste avenyn på planeten. Detta råkar också vara hjärtat i Buenos Aires version av "Times Square". Buenos Aires är alltid listad bland de 10 bästa städerna världen över för liveteater och här kommer du att se det i full visning, med det vackra Teatro Colón och många Broadway-liknande teatrar runt om. Vi kommer att gå nerför Diagonal Norte, med oavbruten utsikt över Obelisque, till vår nästa destination.
Hem för "Rosa huset" (Argentinas version av "Vita huset"), den nationella katedralen (där påven Franciskus brukade arbeta!), Cabildo (Argentinas första regeringsbyggnad när det fortfarande var en spansk koloni), plus många andra utsökta och historiska byggnader. Plaza de Mayo är lika intressant som vackert.
I de tidiga dagarna av Buenos Aires var San Telmo hem för stadens rikaste familjer. En serie gula feberepidemier ledde till att de rika flyttade till utkanten av staden (nu Recoleta & Retiro) och San Telmo började sin dekadenta nedgång. Konstnärer och arbetarklassen flyttade snart in i herrgårdarna och förvandlade området till vad det nu är älskat för: en bohemisk fristad för antikviteter, tango, kaféer, barer och restauranger, samt den berömda San Telmo Street Market som hålls varje söndag. Det här är ett bra område för shopping, snacks, titta på gattango och njuta av den avslappnade stadskänslan.
La Boca är hem till landets ursprungliga hamn och är nu mest känd för sina färgglada gator fulla av tango, konst och fútbol (aka fotboll!). La Bocas rika historia är fortfarande mycket levande i de många conventillos (hyreshus för den gamla hamnens arbetskraft) som nu omvandlas till kaféer, stekhus och souvenirbutiker. Liksom San Telmo är detta ett underbart område att lära sig om den mycket ödmjuka början av staden, njuta av några lokala smaker och tango, och plocka upp en minnessak eller 2. I slutet av turen transporterar vi er tillbaka till er bostad, där ni kan återuppleva alla minnen vi skapade denna fantastiska dag.

Upphämtningsplatser och tider
Vi kommer att hämta dig från alla hotell, airbnb, kryssningshamn eller boning inom Buenos Aires stadsgränser, eller från inrikesflygplatsen (Jorge Newberry) gratis. Upphämtning på EZE flygplats erbjuds mot en extra avgift. Vi kontaktar dig i förväg för att samordna exakt upphämtningstid och plats. I slutet av turen kommer vi att återföra dig till denna plats.

We booked a full day tour with Tracy and she was the best! She was personable, easy to work with (communicated several times by email before the day) and so knowledgeable about her adopted country. I appreciated the way she could weave history and current events into her presentation and give us some cultural context. She suggested a great local restaurant for lunch and spent the whole day sharing stories of her life and the culture of Buenos Aires. Her driver, Renzo helped us stay dry on a drizzly day and also took us to/from the airport. Renzo communicated with us via WhatsApp and we felt better knowing he was taking such good care of us. Tracy and Renzo are a great team who work well together with the genuine interest in sharing Buenos Aires with their guests. We now feel like we have new friends in Buenos Aires! What more can I say other than an absolutely fantastic full day walking tour, followed by an evening out to Tracey’s Tango club to watch the locals dance. Tracey and her colleague Renzo are brilliant hosts with a great knowledge of Buenos Aires. It was like being shown around by long term friends. I have absolutely no problem in recommending Tracey. Avoid the big group tours and go for the much more personal experiences as offered by Tracey

First off, I would like to thank Tracy for a wonderful day. Tracy is truly gifted and knowledgeable guide. Not originally being from Argentina, Tracy was very knowledgeable of Argentina’s history and culture, and she gave a very unique prospective. From originally booking this tour, it was easy to communicate with Tracy using WhatsApp, and this helped make for a stress free day. I believe Tracy incorporated some of the most historical locations, from the Recoleta cemetery, the La Boca neighborhood, to the Pink House into a well rounded tour. If sometime in the future we return to Buenos Aires, I would not hesitate booking another tour with Tracy. Thank you Tracy for a great tour and the great local lunch you were able to arrange.

Tracy was a wonderful tour guide. We booked a private tour for 3 of us, and loved the entire experience. She was down to earth and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed her narrative and insights, especially her explanation of the tango culture (of which she is a part of). With Tracy as our guide (and her excellent driver Renzo), our full-day private tour of Buenos Aires was fabulous! We started at the fascinating historical Recoleta Cemetery, then on to the city center, the Plaza de Mayo, the Casa Rosada, Metropolitan Cathedral, plus much more. We especially enjoyed LaBoca, the colorful original city port, and San Telmo. The route and stops were tailored to our interests and pace. Along the way, Tracy shared many interesting details and fascinating stories, reflecting her immense knowledge of the customs and history of Buenos Aires. She taught us so much about local culture and opened the world of Milonga to us. Tracy is not only an outstanding guide, but a professional dancer herself, and so talented. On a separate tour on another day, we visited famous gardens of Buenos Aires, including the beautiful Japanese garden. By the time our tours were over, we felt like Tracy was not just our tour guide, but a wonderful new friend. We look forward to seeing her again as our guide when we’re back in Argentina. Oh, to be in Buenos Aires again!

Tracy gave a very comprehensive tour of the neighborhoods and sites of Buenos Aires. She arranged airport pickups for us and suggested other options for us before our tour so we did not duplicate what we saw. She used a combo of walking, private driver and subway to get to the major neighborhoods. As she is originally Canadian we had no problem understanding her and she could explain cultural differences easily to us from the US. She has been in Buenos Aires for 8 years so navigated through the city easily. The time flew by as she delved into history and culture.

We had an amazing day with Tracy on the full day walking tour. She has an incredible knowledge of the history and culture of Buenos Aires, and her passion for the city shines through. We covered a huge area but the combination of walking, a private driver and the subway made the day fly by. It was a fantastic introduction to this beautiful city, and by the end of the day we felt like we'd made a local friend. We can't recommend this tour highly enough!
