När du reser till östra Java, se till att se gryningen från toppen av berget Bromo. Denna tur börjar strax före midnatt och tar en lång resa till Sunrise Point, där du kan se soluppgången ovanför Mount Bromo. Var redo för vår kunniga förare och guide som hämtar dig klockan 00.00 och tar dig längs Probolinggo-vägen till Bromo-regionen. Ditt upphämtningsställe i Surabaya tar dig dit på cirka 3 timmar.
Vi kommer att använda en Jeep (4 WD) för att fortsätta resan så att vi kan uppskatta den tuffa rutten som kretsar kring den kuperade regionen. Därefter beger vi oss till berget Penanjakan eller Kingkong Hill, det bästa stället att njuta av soluppgången över Bromo. Gryningen inträffar vanligtvis klockan 04.30. Normala nattliga lägsta temperaturer på Mount Bromo varierar från 0 till 12 grader Celsius, och värms upp när solen går upp. Du kan hyra en extra jacka för 10 000,00 IDR vid utsiktsplatsen för soluppgången om du behöver en. Vi går sedan nerför backen till parkeringsområdet för jeep och passerar genom det vidsträckta sandhavet som skapats av berget Bromos utbrott. Vi kommer också att passera genom ett av turistmålen med en mycket attraktiv panoramautsikt som förstör ögonen, nämligen Widodaren Hill.
Resan tar cirka 30 minuter att nå toppen. Du kan se Mount Semeru, det högsta berget på Java Island, liksom kalderan, Mount Batok-bergen och den fortfarande aktiva Bromo-kratern från toppens kant.
Efter att ha gått ner från Bromo-kratern måste du ta dig till ett hinduiskt tempel vid namn Pura Luhur Poten, som är en kvarleva från ett av de indonesiska kungadömena. Hindutemplet Pura Luhur Poten ligger nära Mount Bromos bas. Majoriteten av hinduiska Tengger-stammen samlas vid detta tempel för religiösa ceremonier. Från jeepparkeringsplatsen kan du gå upp till 300 meter till denna plats.
Sedan kan du njuta av en traditionell indonesisk frukost på Lava View-restaurangen och återvända till byområdet Bromo, området där vår bil parkerades innan vi åkte med jeep.

We went to Mount Bromo with our family and had an amazing experience. We were picked up around midnight, and the car was very comfortable for the drive to the mountain area. The guide was very helpful throughout the trip and made everything run smoothly. The arrangement was excellent, from hotel pickup, transfer to the jeep, choosing a cozy coffee shop while waiting for sunrise, visiting the crater, and enjoying a delicious breakfast afterward. Everything was well-organized and stress free. Highly recommended for a family trip to Bromo!

We were picked up from the hotel at the agreed time and driven about 2.5 hours to Mount Bromo, where we switched to a Jeep for the last leg of the journey. Throughout the trip, our guide (Alfa) was great as was his school friend (Ridho), who drove us to and from Surabaya. Their English was very good and Alfa was very knowledgeable about the volcano and the local history. He also took a number of photos for us on the way up as well as some group pictures at the top. The nonchalant ones he took as we walked around were particularly good. Overall a fantastic and smooth experience. If we do any more trips from Surabaya, he'll be the first person we contact.

Guide got in touch the afternoon before to explain things and answer any questions. Throughout they were so friendly and approachable, offering to take pictures and asking questions, and offering ideas about things to see and do, but also left me to sleep as well when I was tired whilst travelling. Not a super cheap option, but worth it for the overall experience. Everyone involved was really helpful with all my questions and I was extremely satisfied with the excursion.

Great trip to the Bromo volcano excellently accompanied by Ziadan called ‘Dan’ for short. He speaks excellent English and guides you well. Like most tourists we were underdressed before the cold and wind at the top at dawn. So warm coats were rented from the local people. Good to know this is possible. Although we didn’t know that all of China comes there for instagrammable photos, we also got a beautiful photo session from Dan as a gift. The beautiful nature and Bromo did the rest. Was not in the description but nice. Dan sought the best places, cleanest toilets and provided an amused conversation about culture, history, politics and religion. This excursion is really worth doing. Then plan some space to rest and sleep.

We just got back from our Bromo family trip with Landscape Bromo Tour and honestly, it was really AMAZING! Everything was very horraaayyy 😂😂 with the guide faruq. We got picked at midnight and didnt sleep till morning. Haha. T(our kids loved him!). We left around midnight to catch the sunrise, and wow… it was seriously worth it. The view was magical, something we’ll never forget. The jeep ride was so much fun, especially for the kids.
