Bilresan till den stora bukten Fazayah, cirka 80 km väster om Salalah, är redan rolig, eftersom rutten leder förbi Mughsail-stranden till hårnålskurvorna på Wadi Afawls flanker och vidare till Jebel Qamars höjder. Där uppe känner man sig lite som utsikten i masten på ett segelfartyg: havsbris och fri sikt mot horisonten, förutom att det också finns de branta klipporna med sina bisarra formationer. En brant men bra stig leder ner till flera små och stora sandstränder. Nu är det den perfekta tiden att ta på sig simkläderna och dyka ner i Indiska oceanens vågor.
När du kommer ner från bergen tar du dig västerut till populära Mughsail. Första stoppet är den vackra sandstranden, beströdd med lusthus och palmer för den som vill vila i skuggan när de lyssnar på vågorna. Bergen kommer mycket nära havet vid den punkten och ger en magnifik utsikt.
En annan omtalad sevärdhet vid Mughsail är blåshålen, där vatten från havet tränger sig igenom klippan och skjuter upp till 28 m högt under högsäsong. Högvatten under Khareef ger de bästa sevärdheterna, men fenomenet kan observeras vid högvatten under hela året. Mellan stranden och blåshålen passerar du lagunen, en fristad för fåglar som vandrar mellan Afrika och Europa eller Asien.
Det sista stoppet västerut kommer att vara Masood Beach, en vacker vit sandstrand, inbäddad så snyggt i bergen, vissa kallar den "dolda stranden." Den nära kombinationen av rena berg med sand och vatten är en fantastisk syn att njuta av. Återresan till Salalah kommer att innehålla en utsikt över berömda rökelseträd och på många ställen under resan kan du få chansen att se kameler eller andra djur i Dhofar.

This was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Salalah. I had the pleasure of going on this trip alone with Abdulaziz as my tour guide and has now become a friend of mine. He was patient, knowledgeable, accommodating and has a good sense of humor. We went to Mughsail Beach, Marnif Cave, Hidden Beach, Blow Holes and Fazayah Beach. The highlight was Fazzayah Beach. I enjoyed the drive down the mountains and the water is absolutely amazing. The views are breathtaking. Abdulaziz gave me time to dip my feet in the water and sat patiently waiting for me allowing me to indulge to the maximum. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Salalah and especially ask for Abdulaziz to be your tour guide 😊 My only concern was the poor bathroom facilities in Salalah but this was no fault of the tour company. However Abdulaziz always tried his best to find alternative ways for me to use the restroom. Thanks again for an amazing tour and look forwarding to visiting Salalah again in the near future.

I highly recommend this tour! I spent a great afternoon in breathtaking settings. Small tip for the beach: get ready for the beautiful waves and take a board! The guide I had already done the eastern part of Salalah with was really great: accommodating, friendly and really keen to share his culture.

West tour, June 2 Thanks to the guide, we visited such beautiful places: Moogsail Beach, Marnif Cave, Hidden Beach, Holes, Fazaia Beach. These are the best beaches we have ever seen 😍 We had the best guide. Finding a good guide is very important, because thanks to him there was an impression of the journey and the country. We could see the beautiful seaside in Salalah. My guide Abdul took us the several places in half day. His time management skill is professional. He knows well what time we should go to each place.
