Förundras över de invecklade sniderierna och de hisnande vyerna som har gjort denna plats känd. Därifrån reser du till Haskovo, en stad rik på historia och kultur, där du kommer att besöka Madonas största monument. Slutligen, upptäck de dolda skatterna i den thrakiska graven i Alexandrovo, där intrikata fresker ger en inblick i de gamla trakernas tro och seder. Klockan 08:00 hämtar din guide dig från ditt hotell/boende i Plovdiv och din resa i östra Rhodope börjar. Vårt första mål kommer att vara att nå och utforska den fantastiska platsen Perperikon. Det är en arkeologisk plats i Bulgarien som har en lång och rik historia, som sträcker sig från den trakiska civilisationen (400-talet f.Kr. till 400-talet e.Kr.) till medeltiden. Det anses vara en av de största och mest betydelsefulla arkeologiska platserna i Bulgarien. Platsen omfattar ett palatskomplex, en helgedom och en fästning och tros ha varit ett politiskt, ekonomiskt och religiöst centrum i det antika trakiska kungariket. Under medeltiden ockuperades Perperikon av det bysantinska riket och användes som en militär fästning för att skydda regionen. Palatset har imponerande stenstrukturer, inklusive en stor hall, ett torn och en innergård. Helgedomen tros ha använts för religiösa och mystiska ritualer, både under den trakiska och medeltida perioden.
Efter att ha utforskat den fantastiska staden Perperikon fortsätter vi norrut och passerar genom den regionala storstaden - Haskovo. Vi stannar för en lunch i stadens centrum och kommer att beundra den största statyn av Vergin Marry i världen. monumentet har certifierats av Guinness Book of World Records som den högsta statyn av Jungfru Maria med Jesusbarnet i världen. Jungfru Maria är Haskovos traditionella skyddshelgon. Den bulgariska nationella väckelsetidens kyrka för den heliga Guds moder, byggd från 1832 till 1837, var den första katedralen som byggdes i Haskovo i modern tid.
På vår väg kommer vi att besöka en mycket intressant medeltida moské som serverade en av de största mässorna i det osmanska riket - den i Uzunzhovo, som omvandlades till en ortodox kristen kyrka i början av 1900-talet. En del av Caravanserai är fortfarande synlig bredvid kyrkan. Platsen är unik och förtjänar definitivt ett besök.
Vårt sista stopp för dagen är ett mästerverk av antik konst. Thracian Tomb of Alexandrovo är en välbevarad gammal grav som ligger nära byn Alexandrovo, Haskovo-provinsen, Bulgarien. Den upptäcktes år 2000 och har daterats till den hellenistiska perioden, runt 3:e eller 2:a århundradet f.Kr. Graven är huggen i en sten och består av en central kammare och två sidokammare. Det är känt för sina välbevarade fresker och andra dekorationer, som anses vara bland de finaste exemplen på thrakisk konst. Freskerna skildrar scener från det dagliga livet och religiösa ritualer och ger en inblick i de gamla trakernas tro och seder. Efter att vi besökt graven kör vi tillbaka till Plovdiv där din guide kommer tillbaka dig till ditt hotell/boende.

Originally I was on the fence about this tour as my time was limited in Plovdiv. Judging by the pictures on the Google the site looked underwhelming. I was TOTALLY WRONG. The site is beautiful and massive. Pictures will never do it justice. Our tour guide Adrian showed up on time (communication was seamless) and went out of his way to pick us up from an area of Plovdiv that is not easy to drive through. Once on route he started describing the region and all of the history. The site is breathtaking and Adrian made it even better with his funny and intelligent narration. He is without a doubt the most knowledgeable person I have ever met about that era of history. He was able to relate the information to me in a way it made sense and now I want to learn more. You are silly to book this tour through any other tour guide. It is not the cheapest tour but I can assure you it is worth every penny. This is the first review I have posted in my entire life. That’s how happy I was with the entire experience. Thank you Adrian. You have set the standard to which I will compare any other guided tour I will ever take. BOOK THIS TOUR!!!! You won’t regret any of it.

We were the only ones who booked the trip for the day, so Adrian became our private guide. We had a great day! Adrian could tell a lot about the places we visited. He knows a lot about the history of his country and the peoples who ruled there.

Our trip was cancelled so we didn't have an experience. We were not told of the cancellation. If you use this company check midnight to see if the trip is happening. We were waiting to be picked up and was only told when we rang to find out where the driver was. No apology
Dear traveler, I don't know why you are lying that much. You were sent email with alternative dates and a few phone calls to be informed of this. When you called us in the morning you said that your email was not working and your phone was not receiving too. I personally apologized 1000 times because I felt very bad that you did not understand that the tour had to be canceled. Also, you were fully refunded the day before your tour and notified by Viator about it. Sorry, I understand that you are upset but you are lying brutally in this comment.
Tour guide is really nice and taking care of visitors, and even sometimes will take them to extra places.
