What a wonderful experience! My friend and I came to Ireland for our first girls trip together and we were so glad we booked this trip. We had Dermott and Adam for our tour. Dermott was a wealth of knowledge- I have taken many tours- but this was top 3! Dermott is friendly, warm, and really knows his stuff. Our first stop was the Glendough Monastry and on the way he shared fun facts about Dublin City, different neighboorhoods, landscapes, etc. at the monastery he took us on a brief tour of the arches, chapel, and other landmarks. Dermott taught us songs and we all sang along on the bus with him! I think that was my favorite part. You can really tell that Dermott is passionate about sharing Irelands history with others. We learned so much! Also Adam was really nice and a very good driver- we had a very smooth ride. We would definitely recommend this trip to others!! Thanks Dermott and Adam!😊
I booked through Get Your Guide. Finding the meetup point was straightforward. We had a comprehensive message the previous day explaining where to meet and what we could expect. Pat was our tour guide and he was brilliant, he has a great deal of knowledge and wit to keep you entertained throughout the day. Considering the ground covered, it feels like value for money. They also make sure to stop periodically as there are no toilets on board. There are charging points behind every seat (USB-A and USB-C). Nevertheless, a day is a long time to be in a coach and due to the distances between the places it does feel a little bit too much coach and less location. When we stopped, we were careful to note times and locations and make it back to the coach on time so as to not hold everybody up. The time spent walking around went by fast so you have to carefully think about what you can achieve in, e.g., an hour and ensure not to wander too far from the coach. That being said, we aren't driving around Ireland on this trip so if you aren't either, this is a great option to be able to see some interesting and beautiful places within one day during your stay.
Pat and Alec were amazing. Pat is very knowledgable, witty and very passionate about the sites and historical events along the route, and has happy to share stories and pearls of wisdom. Really was an amazing trip.
It was super good, we loved the guide very wise and super positive energy.
A really nice day trip from Dublin to the mountain area and a medieval town. Our tour guide Pat was amazing and the driver (sir (self afflicted)) Alec made us feel safe and taken care of. Highly recommended!
Very great tour and experience. Pat is a great guide. Glendalough is a wonderful place.
Thanks to Pat and Alec for a wonderful trip. Engaging commentary and good recommendations from our guide for what we could do and see at the varied places we visited.
Pat was amazing and we loved to hear about Irish History. We would have loved to spend a little more time in Glendalough.
The Tour was entertaining, interesting and enjoyable. Pat was a Great and lovely Guide and explained everything with enthusiasm. You have a good amount of time at each Spot to Explore them. All in all its absolutely worth it :)
We received a lot of new information about Ireland, and histories. Glendalough and Kilkeney were very interesting places. The guide, Pat was very kind and supportive. The driver, Alec, was a good pilot.
