Vår tur är verkligen unik eftersom den är djupt rotad i lokalsamhället och inriktad på bevarande. Varje aspekt av upplevelsen drivs av lokalbefolkningen – från våra chaufförer och värdar till kockarna som lagar dina färska, läckra måltider. Genom att boka med oss stöder du direkt försörjningen för Shimoni- och Wasini-ösamhällena. Dessutom går en del av intäkterna från din bokning till Shimoni Turtle Watch, en lokal bevarandegrupp som arbetar för att skydda havssköldpaddor, vilket säkerställer att ditt besök bidrar till att bevara det marina livet. Turen betonar också respektfull interaktion med det marina djurlivet, så att du kan njuta av de fantastiska korallreven, delfinerna och andra havsdjur utan att skada ekosystemet. Börja dagen med vår pålitliga lokala chaufför, som hämtar dig från ditt hotell tidigt på morgonen. När du reser genom det vackra kustlandskapet kan du njuta av utsikten över charmiga fastigheter och frodiga palmplantager. Vid ankomsten runt kl. 08.00 stiger ni ombord på en båt (typ beror på dagens bokningar) för att segla längs den fantastiska Wasinikanalen. Dagen bjuder på en perfekt balans mellan avkoppling och upptäcktsfärder, med början med snorkling i Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park. Här får du chansen att se delfiner (95% chans), pulserande marint liv och kanske även havssköldpaddor!
Efter att ha njutit av den pulserande undervattensvärlden tar vi en kort rundtur i Mkwiro Village på Wasini Island. Detta är en möjlighet att lära sig om livet på ön och få kontakt med samhället. Om du har små donationer som böcker, hygienhanddukar eller skonsamt använda kläder, kommer de att tas emot varmt av lokala familjer. Efter bybesöket beger vi oss tillbaka till Shimoni för en läcker swahililunch. Måltiden tillagas av lokala kvinnor, vilket ger dig chansen att stödja deras arbete medan du njuter av de rika smakerna av äkta kustmat.
Slutligen kommer du att besöka Shimoni Slave Caves, en samhällsdriven historisk plats. Här får du lära dig om slavhandelns mörka historia och dess avskaffande samtidigt som du stöder ett meningsfullt lokalt initiativ. Genom att följa med på den här turen får du inte bara en minnesvärd upplevelse utan bidrar också direkt till samhällena Wasini och Shimoni.

Upphämtningar påbörjas mellan ca 6 : 45am och 7 : 45am från Diani beach.Avresa till marinparken beror på parkbiljetthantering av Kenyas viltservice. Återvänder till ursprungspunkten du plockades på morgonen. Upphämtningar från Mombasa börjar klockan 05:30. Observera att upphämtningar beror på antalet gäster den dagen — ibland kanske det inte finns tillräckligt med gäster för att organisera en upphämtning från Mombasa. I sådana fall informerar vi dig i förväg och ger råd om alternativa arrangemang.

Thank you for the absolutely special and extraordinary day me and my friends had in the Marine National Park!! :) We had the opportunity to visit there almost the whole day and really was a compared low price, me and my friends are students and could afford, so its approved from that point too. :) Special thanks are going to Omar, we had such a great funny talk and I learned so much from him, so thank you Omar that you had us on your boat. :) At the end of the trip everybody was singing songs in the languages of all the visitors, that was such a funny place on the boat there. :D We were not too many people, had an easy time chatting with everyone during the ride. And then everybody was so excited when we first time saw the dolphins, so beautiful creatures swimmimg towards us. It was the first time ever I saw one, just magical, so really thankfull to everybody involved. I hope to come again someday and can truely recomment to everybody, you will have a great experience and just the best conversations there!

Had a fantastic day with Omar and another solo traveler! Not only did we find the dolphins he filmed a great underwater video for us and managed to do the same with a sea turtle. Additionally he’s so nice, welcoming, and really knowledgeable and answered all our hard questions. His mom also made us lunch which was some of the best food I’ve had in Kenya so far.

We really loved this tour. We had plenty of time to snorkel and guides (Omar & Ali) were great at ensuring that anyone who was new to snorkelling or who was not the most confident of swimmers were comfortable & felt safe. Snorkelling highlights included seeing squid, octopus, puffer fish and a green turtle. The visit to Wasini Island was a deeply poignant experience. Lunch was amazing! We had a great experience, offered by a real local agency that is caring for its clients. From flow to end, everything was perfect! We were treated to our private boat, two great guides for a snorkeling that lasted 1h30 with a lot to see (octopus, squid, fish of all kinds and sea turtles!) We swam to a beautiful sandbar where a very nice fruit platter was offered! Then the visit to Wasini Island and the caves were very interesting! Not to mention the great Swahili meal we were able to enjoy at the end of the experience! Book without hesitation, even if you are new to snorkeling!

A wonderful excursion! Great communication. Pick up and drop off at our hotel in Tiwi. The entire team was extremely kind and informative. We saw a lot of dolphins and the snorkeling was great. Our guide pointed out octopus, squid, etc. I believe lunch was cooked and served by Omar’s mother. It was delicious and featured many local foods. The tour of the slave caves was very interesting and shined a light on a very dark time in Kenya’s history. The stop at the island was wonderful. The local children were happy, kind excited to talk with us. They are working hard on education and building classrooms. RECOMMENDATION: they would appreciate gently used school books that can be used to teach you children English. I wish we had known; we would have packed some in our suitcases.

This was such an authentic and amazing experience. Omar and his family are such good people and getting the opportunity to see them for who they truly are was one of a kind special experience. I was all over in different areas of Kenya for 12 days and his mom’s cooking was the best I had the entire time during my visit.
