Vårt första stopp är Huonville, där du har en chans att ta en takeaway-kaffe och fylla på alla nödvändigheter för dagen. Luta dig tillbaka, koppla av och njut av den natursköna bilturen längs den vackra Huonfloden. När du smuttar på ditt kaffe får du höra berättelser om varför detta område är känt för sina äppelodlingar, hantverkscidertillverkare, boutiquevinmakare och laxproduktion.
Därefter anländer vi till Tahune Airwalk, där du har två härliga timmar på dig att utforska denna spektakulära region. Välj en eller alla tre promenaderna som erbjuds. Börja med den berömda Airwalk, en 600 meter lång promenad 50 meter upp i trädkronan bland världens högsta blommande växter, eukalyptusgummiträden. Känner du dig äventyrlig? Ta dig an Swinging Bridges Track, en 3,4 kilometer lång utflykt där du korsar två svängande broar över Huonfloden den första (100 m lång) och Picton Swinging Bridge (64 m lång). Alternativt kan du stanna på marken och njuta av lugnet i att promenera längs flodstranden genom gamla Huon-tallar, blanda med träd som är 2 500 år gamla. Snacka om en genomgång av forntiden!
Efter lunch är det dags att ge sig vidare söderut till de magiska Hastings-grottorna, där du kommer att förundras över de underjordiska underverken i Australiens största dolomitgrotta. Din entrébiljett (ingår) ger dig en guidad tur genom detta fascinerande grottsystem, ledd av en erfaren och passionerad guide. Här kan du beundra de intrikata formationerna och lära dig om områdets geologiska historia. Medan du utforskar Hastings Caves State Reserve, håll ögonen öppna för inhemska vilda djur som näbbdjur, quolls, pademeloner och fåglar.

We had Dave. He was really nice even when we held up the group he didn't mind. He was knowledgeable and friendly and the tour was great. The Tahune airwalk was really cool

Hi, THe day was quite good, but I felt maybe too much time was taken up with driving. Both the Cave experience and Skywalk were good. But I presume they were possibly in roughly same area. I was dissappointed we didn't have a food stop during the day. WE just had the chance to get food in Huonville, and that was it. I presume the tasting was the Apple pie in Cider stop. I think our guide for the day wasn't too experienced.
A great day of exploring nature! Skye was very friendly and knew her stuff about nature and the places we visited.

I love the trips, our driver is very informative. The tahune walk and hasting cave are fascinating. And before we go back to hobart, we stop by to eat a very delicious apple pie and ice cream

Small group tour, friendly guide and advised clearly how long at each stop. Great variety of an activity and sights to see. Cave walk was a highlight and very easy steps and railing.

Very long day, but worth the lovely sights and knowledge gained from the great tour guide JODIE. Hastings Caves were amazing, the Tahune Airwalk was great also. Lots of driving time for this tour but we had a few little stops to break up the trip, which was great. JODIE was knowledgeable and very down to earth - a real credit to Tassie Tours. If you are looking for a great day out I highly recommend this tour.Be sure to wear layers, it’s cold in the cave. You also need to be willing and able to climb up and down stairs, there are a lot in the cave but also to get to the top of the airwalk.

Quite a long day and weather can change quickly. Hastings Cave always around 10 degrees C no matter how hot outside so pays to carry a jacket oy jumper. Also steps going up and down ( as you have to retrace) are quite steep Sturdy Walking shoes recommended. Plenty of short stops throughout the tour. Tahunne Airwalk and swing bridges. Require sturdy shoes and a good head for heights. The roads throughout the tour very winding in places if you are prone to motion sickness remember to take your "Kwells" or similar medication. The Apple Pie and cream at Franks Cider Farm stop was delicious and included in tour price. The cider sampling good too ( at your own cost).
