The owner really soured this trip. In front of about 15 guests, he asked my boyfriend how long it took him to have sex with me. That's inappropriate and so unprofessional for someone running a paid tour. It wasn't a one time thing either. He made a handful of other inappropriate comments to other people on the boat too. The moment we were underwater and he stopped talking, the whole experience got better. I wish he'd let his son do the talking instead. The helmet dive itself was so fun! Walking on the ocean floor was a really cool experience. I did expect a little more freedom down there, though. We only got to touch about 3-4 fish and couldn't touch the reef at all, which I'd assumed we'd be able to do. Beautiful dive, but the owner needs to remember he's running a business. Guests deserve better than comments like that!

An amazing experience!! Spent an hour in crystal clear waters while having a great time watching all of the activity on the reef and jandling fish. Very cool

Being so close to the reef and the fish is amazing! There is some mild physical activity/dexterity needed (ability to kneel), but the tour operator works well with your limits.

I was booked for the 0930 dive -it was on my ticket very clearly.I had to get special clearance to get off the ship early as it wasnt booked with Royal Caribbean.When I got there I was told I was on the 130 dive.I showed him my ticket and pointed to the 0930 time- he snarled I can see that but I made a mistake and put you down for the afternoon dive. He said I was more than welcome to join the early group but then spent the next 10 minutes telling me what an inconvience and bother it would be for me to take the 0930 dive - too many people , he would have to do an extra dive etc etc . I was so upset I left. I had to cancel my afternoon plans. I had my backpack already packed with gear so wandered around port then went back to the ship. I arrived for the 130 dive and told him I have a 5:00 pm dinner time that cant be changed so now I would miss dinner.The dive was amazing and I cant say enough good things about it and would recommend it with 5 stars. Unfortunately in order for them to put the pictures on your phone you had to climb up a set of stairs to the top deck while the ship was moving.There are no safety rails up there and a boat passed us going to fast and created a huge wake rocking the boat severely and I fell- the pilot asked if I was OK and at the time I thought I was. I was severely jostled and surprised so I said I was OK. They hurried to get me back to my ship for dinner but with the line ups to get back on board I missed dinner.I have had to seek medical attention and am in severe pain. My suggestion is to maybe not have people climbing up a set of rickety stairs to the top deck while the boat is in motion.I f that had happened while I was on the stairs I likely would have landed in the ocean.The people that were on the bottom deck said they had to hang onto the poles to avoid falling but there are none on the top deck. I await your reply on this matter

This was an amazing experience for my 12 yr old son and me. The guide that went down under water with us was awesome. He was very knowledgeable about the reef and the fish. I highly recommend this excursion. I will definitely do this again if in Bermuda again!

I am giving this a 5 stars, with a notation. The diving part was a wonderful experience! The owner Greg does a good job explaining what to expect and identifying objects while under the water. Being able to touch/briefly hold the fish was fun. The group was 17 people, and we went underwater for about 50 minutes in groups of 6. The only issue I had (but will not reduce the score for the excursion) was the trip out. If you have more "conservative/maga" leanings, then the excursion will be a 5+, if you have more liberal thinking, may not be a 5, with comments about TDS, "teachers don't let students think for themselves (as a teacher that was quite annoying), talk about vaccines, etc. As I said, the actual diving part was amazing.

We loved this so much! It was the highlight of our whole trip to Bermuda for my 9 and 11 year old boys. The team was amazing and made the whole experience fun and memorable for our family!

Captain Greg and his son Ben were absolutely fantastic. From start to finish, they made the entire experience feel safe, fun, and unforgettable. They were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and wonderful with the whole group, making sure everyone felt comfortable and confident. The experience itself was truly amazing and something our family will never forget. If you’re visiting Bermuda, we cannot recommend Hartley’s Helmet Diving enough — it was without a doubt one of the highlights of our trip and one of the best family experiences we’ve ever had!
