The whole experience was amazing. Only thing is you need more than 4 hours to see everything properly. We missed out on the special effects movie and didn’t have enough time to get something from the gift shop. Overall a great experience though.
The visit to WB Harry Potter studios was a great experience. The tour started August 13th at Victoria bus station. We took the subway to Victoria train station and then had a 5 minute walk to the bus station. All of this was easy to navigate. The trains were clean, on time and the maps were easy to follow. Once at the bus station we went to gate 0 which was on our paperwork as the pick up point for our bus. 9:15 am was the check in time. A lady arrived around 9:10 and turned on the sign indicating this was the gate for the tour. In my opinion that sign should have been on earlier since most of the people waiting were there by 9:00am and not certain they were in the right spot. They moved us from the gate to the bus in small groups and we were on the road on time. The ride was pleasant and the bus was air conditioned. It was important that day since the temperature was 95F. The bus parks close to the studio entrance. Entry is easy and organized. We made it to the tour entrance easily and started the tour. There is a lot to see. You can spend many hours in there if you look at all the exhibitions and do all the little things they have available. Our tour time was 4+ hours and we did see all the exhibits but we didn’t dig into every detail. They have a cafe at the midway point and at the end as well. If you’re a Harry Potter fan this is a must see when you’re in London.
The person I was in contact with was very helpful when we were running late for the pickup, and I appreciate their support. However, I was disappointed that the bus could not wait for us, especially since we had informed them that we could see the bus and were on our way. We also did not receive an audio guide, which was disappointing. Which was mentioned while booking not sure what guide that was cause ppl who worked there had no clue about it. What made this more frustrating was that, on our journey there, the bus had waited for more than 15 minutes for another passenger. Given this, I feel some flexibility could have been shown in our case as well. Unfortunately, we had to take a cab on the way back, which cost us £65. Overall, the staff member I dealt with was helpful, but the bus coordination and handling of the situation could have been much better.
The tour exceeded our expectations. Very well organized and amazing to see the actual sets from the movies. Great experience overall!
This place exceeded every expectation that we could have had about it. It was amazing and magical from the time we stepped into the building. It was worth every penny. My husband had zero knowledge of Harry Potter, while my daughter and I are huge fans. This experience blew us all away. Book this tour. You won't regret it!
Amazing experience for any Harry Potter fan! Easy bus ride in and plenty of time to walk through the areas and around the gift shop.
We grew up with the books and the movies and we loved it. Since transportation on our own was a bit complicated, we chose the bus option and I think we did the right thing; it took us between half an hour and an hour to get there without any complications. At the beginning, you have to take a short tour to the door that opens and already shows the ins and outs of the movies: prosthetics and makeup, objects, sets, demonstrations of tricks... On several occasions, you can take photos riding a broomstick, on the Hogwarts train, etc., some for free and others by paying more than twenty euros for the photo. There was also a workshop to make chocolate frogs. It has buttons so that things move, which contributes to the magical atmosphere. You feel like you are back in your childhood and it is very interesting to see the tricks and artifacts up close.
Maybe some more info about the attraction Harry Potter studio and how to get more from it. Example explain the pass port. And how to deal with it. Or when you get to the train your half way through. Just generic info. Instead it's big and where to meet back. It may make the experience better.
Great opportunity for the kiddos to experience the magic of movie sets and unravel the majestic! Seeing the smile on their faces from hoping on the bus in London and throughout the tour, was priceless!
Pros: The buses were clean and air conditioned as advertised and the ride there and back was smooth. Booking this tour was extremely helpful for us since tickets at the entry time we wanted were sold out on the direct studio tour site and this one offered our ideal timing. They had great customer service as we wanted to come back from the tour early and the onsite attendant was able to arrange for us to come back on an earlier bus. Cons: The company needs to provide better instructions for the meeting point for the Victoria stop. We arrived at the correct station but it wasn’t exactly clear where we had to go once we arrived since instructions just said to meet at the station. Without any further details, I assumed it would be on the side of the street and easy to spot. After waiting a few minutes and not seeing anyone and afraid I would miss the bus, I called their customer service number and the rep communicated the specific meeting point to me, which was inside the station! The company attendant meets you onsite when you arrive at the studio tour to distribute your tickets but I thought I read that they’d escort you to the front of the line to avoid the regular queue which didn’t happen. You just had to go in the regular line, which is longer than the tour group lines. Overall, it was a great experience for us but it would have been slightly smoother if they could have made these last two points clear in their communication.
