A real scam the tour included Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine entrance, the cathedral was closed Entrance Apollo Theater theater closed for renovation Morris-Jumel Mansion Museum entrance closed for renovation Gospel Mass 2 hours by the way anyone could get in for free we only stayed an hour because the guide had to come back We confronted the guide among other things of another tour operator had a different itinerary from ours
Good morning, We’re sorry you were disappointed in the Harlem Gospel tour. It’s divided into two parts - stops at historical and cultural landmarks in Harlem and the highlight of the Gospel music service at a local church. We made all the stops you described to see and take photos. There are no inside tours of any of these attractions. The gospel service church welcomes tourists for approximately one hour - the rest of the service is for the private community. The tour was 4 hours as described starting at 8:15am ending at 12:15pm. Additionally, in fact, this was in effect a private tour for your group of 5 with a professionally licensed driver Guide at your service. We’re sorry you didn’t enjoy the tour. Highlight of my trip. Eduardo was my guide, and despite being the only participant, they did not cancel me (other companies have in the past). He’s lived in New York for 40 years and showed me every inch of Harlem. It was more beautiful and interesting than I ever imagined. I can’t wait to come back and explore all the little hidden corners he showed me. The worship service I attended was particularly joyful and moving. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough.
