We had a perfect evening with a lots of tasting. Minh our guide, was great and showed us places we never would have eating at. The food was delicious og I would always recommend Minh as a streetfood guide.
I booked the private tour super last minute and was a little nervous if it was too last minute but Viet confirmed immediately. It was my last night and I said I wanted to try local food, things that I wouldn’t know to try or find and he delivered! We tried a few places and he asked if I wanted to try more but I was too full haha!! I was really happy with the dishes! I had 6 different dishes across 5 stalls and a pit stop to have a beer too. Would highly recommend the private tour and Viet was a brilliant tour guide sharing more about authentic Vietnam culture people and helping me to remember how to say hello and thank you to the vendors. It was a great last night!!
Really nice experience and guide was really friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of good food in places that we would have never considered as they looked more for the locals than for tourist. The dry pho and steamed rolls were unreal and so was the egg coffee at the end of the tour! Would definitely recommend it!
We had a great trip around Hanoi with Nick, trying a bunch of different local foods - all of them in places you’d otherwise walk right past. Each stop includes some information about the history or background of the dish, and the portion sizes are customised based on how hungry (or full) you feel. A great way to get a good lunch and try things you’d otherwise never get to experience.
Linh was so knowledgeable about all the foods she showed me and super passionate about sharing the cultural and historical significance of each local dish we tried. The places she took me made me feel just like a local on my last night in Hanoi, and for that, I’m infinitely grateful. She even went out of her way to accommodate some special culinary requests from some friend-suggested Vietnamese foods as well as foods that I mentioned were my favorite. And besides the food, she is absolutely amazing company. I completely lost track of time talking to her about Vietnam, the food, the culture, and her background. 10/10 would do it again… and probably will next time I’m in Hanoi. Thanks for an awesome experience, Linh, you’re the best! :)

My wife and I booked a food tour for day 1 of our visit to Hanoi. We find a food tour is an excellent way to get familiar with the neighborhood we are in a little bit of local culture and of course the food that is available. This time around we chose a private walking tour and we booked it through Viator. Our guides name was Chi and she was excellent. She met us at our hotel where she briefed us on how the tour was going to unfold and a few tips to help with the experience. Not only did she deliver on the food experience she was also engaging and clearly prepared with topics of conversation that kept the evening rolling along at the perfect pace. Here is a list of the food that Chi introduced us to. • Pho mix with chicken and soy sauce Pho Ga • Steam rice paper with egg Banh Trung • BBQ PORK (street vendor) • Noodle with meat ball and pork belly (Bun Cha) • Dip with fish sauce • Bánh mì roast Duck • Mango sticky rice and ice cream • Lemon tea I would definitely recommend Chi as a guide if you have the opportunity.
